Maybe the espn BCS selection show talking heads were just placating to the masses, but they sure jumped on FSU's cock the other night. Went out of their way to defend the results and imply FSU would be a better game vs Bama.

With social media and the knee jerk reaction world we live in thats how things go. Very much a week to week romance with a certain team.

FSU deserved their knobs gettin licked by ESPN as they kicked some ass.

But a big week by an Oregon vs UCLA with Gameday there. The knob slobbin shows up in Eugene.

Just like when Oregon beat UW, wow, look at Oregon woohoo. Ya, well UW was overrated and FSU kicked the crap outta Clemson. Watch how these weeks play out, its kind of funny.

Meanwhile, Alabama somehow quitely just keeps shutting teams out.

Totally epic.

I will be honest. I wouldnt even mind getting Ohio State in the RB. Never beat the Bucks.... ever. First time in the Grandaddy would be awesome. But for that to happen Oregon would have to lose in the reg season. And I just dont see that happening this season.

Bama is the only one not playing fashion show for espn's support to the ears of the CFB world.

Win and they're in.

Oregon will jump FSU if both win out. Style points don't matter imo, the general consensus in the CFB world today is that the SEC and Pac 12 are the two best conferences. The ACC has been weak for ages now.

ya, i doubt it.

Its not like they are playing scrub tech.

They are playing the #12 team in the country. If they win the game by a fg they arent losing pollster support.

Not that it matters as Oregon most likely wins going away. UCLA is very much over matched in this game.

Just think a uo fan wouldnt have so much faith in the human polls

No, a win will be suffice, no matter what the margin is. Oregon will gain a huge advantage in the CPU's. I don't expect the voters to change their minds about Oregon being #2. FSU is going to need an Oregon loss, its as simple as that.

Agree with your sentiment.

If both keep winning like elite teams should it could go back and forth.

The bigger question is how did FSU pass Oregon in the first place?

Does it really matter now? Would it look better to do so? Yes, but all they have to worry about is winning every game just like FSU. Worry about the conference first and then the NCG.

Although it would be very nice to see FSU in the first and last BCS NCG. I am worried about winning the conference first and going undefeated in the regular season. Everything after that is gravy.

With full disclosure being that it is way too early........

Oregon cannot just assume it will have a bunch of great wins latel.

The problem with Oregon is that all their quality opponents are still going to be playing each other.
Mathematically is becomes a very troublesome scenario for Oregon.
It is unlikely that any PAC-12 team finishes with less than 3 losses.
If USC mucks things up, they might all have 4 losses.

And if Oregon beats them badly, it might break so that hardly any PAC-12 teams finish ranked.

Clemson on the other hand can win out and finish as an 11-1 top 10 team.

NOTRE DAME also becomes the biggest pain in the ass for Oregon.
With wins versus USC, Arizona State, and (maybe) Stanford, that would kill the UO schedule strength.

oregon could win by 1 point and they would likely jump them. but florida state could jump them right back if they pummel miami and virginia tech down the line. oregon will get a nudge in the computers regardless of margin of victory. what they have to worry about is florida state being dominant and making up significant ground in the polls.

This is actually some good stuff but I would add the following:

1. While we are all very impressed with Oregon history has shown that the PAC teams are not that impressed and aren't just going to let you win. There is absolutely the possibility of dropping one along the way then you are toast.

2. FSU really only has one big game left and that is Miami (and they played like crap against UNC) the rest should be a cake walk. I like their odds of staying undefeated more than I do Oregon right now.

3. Ohio State only gets in if there are not any other undefeated teams their schedule is horrible and if they do get in and face Oregon or Alabama it will be an ass whipping similar to what happened to ND.

I'm going to say that FSU has had a tougher schedule so far giving these numbers

FSU opponents are 27-13
Oregon opponents are 22-27

We have the number 5 ranked (Oregon is 2) offense and the number 6 ranked (Oregon is 42) defense. We also have a 40.9 point (Oregon has a 40.2) margin of victory.

It's all laid out in this article right here. It even makes a case to be number 1 given the numbers.
