No, it's backloaded - probably to avoid California state taxes, Nevada is much friendlier to Millionaires. He's making closer to $5mil a year now... and if it's that backloaded, you can bet a sizable percentage of it is guaranteed (perhaps all of it).

That's a pretty smart reason. Hadn't thought of that tax change at all. Nice!

Trading Mack was a boneheaded move

They are in full tank mode but we’ll see if he ever builds a winner. He has 9 more years

He traded two good young players. To build for the future, don’t get it

He is a mad genius. He has a plan. Pile up draft picks next year, and by the following year when the move to Vegas is complete, it will all be in place.

Well maybe he didn't agree with them on what leaders on the team were supposed to be and the direction of the team and how they'd get there. And that's a huge investment for guys who might be great but not the guys you want leading your team.

Not an exact comparison but remember after the Steelers lost to Dallas in the SB and they started a little slip? And the leaders on that team as they started coming back were guys like Kordell, Thigpen, Charles Johnson, Carnell Lake, Kirkland, Scott, etc and then all of a sudden poof, in a couple years all of them were gone?

Basically turned over the roster that had some good talent there to rebuild the one with the guys he wanted and lost a lot of guys in the process.

And they started drafting their new leaders. Faneca, Hines Ward, Porter, Foote, Hampton, Plaxico, Keisel. Kinda stumbled a bit but they remade that roster into something new since he didn't like where it was growing.

they did, but the steelers kept alot of pieces in place. gruden literally shit all over that roster. and as a steelers fan, have to admit they got lucky hitting on ALOT of draft picks. the steelers are generally one of the much better teams at drafting. NOt so much lately with tomlin but for a LONG time they were.

THere is zero indication that chucky or oakland are avid drafters. THey may have picks but they need to hit EVERY ONE of them, AND hit on FA's if they screw up even a few picks, they are f'd. THey won't hit them all..........no one does anymore........Also a high likelihood he moves on from carr.....and starts over there

Before the season started they thought they were a contender. Once they realized they weren't they went into rebuild mode.

I like Gruden but there have been mistakes made that might set the franchise back a bit. I guess his success/failure depends on how quickly they're back in respectable shape (if they ever get back there).
