Roberto Hernandez wild and gave up a lead off home run. Back end is a mess.
Do you guys have some long relievers and spot starters who can gobble up some garbage innings for you? I'm still confused why Donnie Baseball let Kershaw go 106 pitches unless it's his last outting of the regular season.
I think pulling Kershaw at 106 is exactly what I would have done. Why should he have gone longer? LA was up 8-3, Kershaw was over 105 and not having a sharp start. In my mind, there is absolutely no reason to keep him in. If he stays in, what does that accomplish? It's not like he was pitching a shutout, or a 2-hitter, or even a close game. So, he stays in and either goes 6IP at 115-120 pitches, and then he sits? What's the significance of him going one more inning? Or maybe he struggles a bit and the Donnie has to pull him??? No way. Pull him at 105, 5IP is fine, up by a bunch, tough day, nothing to prove, got 20 wins, call it a day.
Rain, rain! Deluge!! Come on! Coluombe sucks. Why not let Paco go one more? He's a lefty too.
