If anything, this opens up things for our other receivers by unclogging the middle of the field. With Willson on one side and Graham on the other, opposing defenses now have to worry about two tight ends that can beat them downfield instead of one. Besides, Graham gives us that red zone jump ball threat we wanted/needed.

Bevell isn't going anywhere, and if we're going to force the ball to anyone at least it's going to be a guy who has averaged almost 90 catches and 11 TDs the past four years.

I really like bringing someone of Jimmy Graham's quality here, but I'm worried about spending so much on a receiving TE when we have O-Line issues. I fear we are going to need him to stay and help block instead of going out on a route. Hopefully he can remain a threat downfield.

After Zach Miller came in with so much promise and then got told to block almost every play, I am cautiously optimistic about this move.

I don't think you have to worry about the Seahawks making him a blocker instead of a receiver. Won't be much point in the trade if he was just going to be a blocker.

There gonna address the line in the draft... I hope they can nail a pick or 2 ... Free agency isn't over either so more moves can happen...

It's crazy how most fans are so smart with playcalling but OCs just can't get it right.

Good point because he basically force fed P. Harvin and it screwed with the flow of our offense...

C'mon guys, we're all smart enough to know there's a difference between force feeding a 5'9" guy with bubble screens 4 yards behind the LOS vs a 6'7" small forward in the seam and in the red zone who represents a huge mismatch for about 28+ teams.

Bevell is subpar... I stand by that until he's gone... He out-thinks himself..

Not only this, but Graham CAN'T block. They guy would be a horrible liability as a blocking TE. He's soft and defenses would run through him to the QB.

We'll never know with Harvin what the whole situation was. God only knows Bevell told him to go play WR normally and Harvin bitched and moaned and just wanted to only do his dumb fly sweeps and be used on weird plays.

Graham I don't think is being brought in to be a blocking TE. I think that's exactly why Seattle re-signed McCoy. Yah Graham will be asked to block a little, but I don't see us doing what we did with Zach Miller.

Graham is also the best red zone threat this franchise has probably ever had EVER. He's had 9 passes sent to him from the 1 yard line in his career. 8 have resulted in TDs... coincidence? I think not.

AND FREAKING HOORAY we didn't pick up Lockette's stupid option. Get the F off this team. I could care less about your special teams contribution. Special teams sucked last year anyway.

There gonna coach him up... He's gonna improve in that area... Pete will attack that weakness...

You could? Or couldn't?

Anyway, I read on 710 that Lockette signed a 1 year deal to return.

Ah yes, couldn't. And 1 year deal, oh well.

I just hope we don't march him out to receive much. Maybe he'll somehow prove me wrong.

Funny, but I knew when I first heard this news that it wouldn't take long for the bevell whiners up here to start up.

Some of you refuse to find anything positive in any news that comes out. At least wait until Bevell does screw up the flow of the offense before you dump on him. :L
