Let's face it.... the Patriots could be in a little bit of trouble money wise after the spending spree Bill went through.. Did that produce anything? Nope.... Players needs to be resigned, major holes need to be filled...

Are we in for a little "downfall" here?

It's also amazing how the "talking heads" in the sports world have flipped on Mac.. Which I find comical

We made the playoffs during a rebuilding year with a rookie quarterback.
Not up to your standards? WTF? Should we have won the Superbowl during a rebuild?

I am ecstatic with where this team went this year... Not happy how they played after the BYE week but I am.. But I have been listening to the radio.. (stupid idiots I know) and it seems like they think it's a "downfall" for the Pats

There are those of us old enough to know we came from mediocrity no reason we can't go through it again. I still feel last year was a step in the right direction, we signed key pieces for a few years, now build through the draft and get veteran FA that still got something in the tank looking for that last paycheck, which they know will not be grandiose

Well, we know BB will draft well on defense but the offensive side is a huge NOPE....

I guess that also has to do with how "bad" the Pats have been draft pick wise... So I guess we can't fault him too much on that aspect but my god Harry is a complete bust and BB can't pick a WR to save his life you are right about that

No.
Preparing for mediocrity means accepting mediocrity.
If the fans accept mediocrity it will lead to players and staff to also lead to mediocrity.

I can accept rebuilding.

Between the salary cap and rules from the collective bargaining it's almost inevitable that all teams move toward mediocrity. To the extremes, it's amazing that the Patriots, Jets and Lions have all avoided the trend.

I'm older than most of you. I was a Patriot Fan in 1959 when it was announced that the Boston Patriots would be a team in the new AFL which would begin regular season play in 1960.

Mediocrity? Guys, I lived through mediocrity for nearly 40 years. The two exceptions being 1985 and 1997. OF ourse no one ever talks about 1976 when the head ref admitted he'd made a fake call for roughing the Oakland QB to insure that the Raiders got to play the crippled Steelers in the AFC Championship.

I don't have forty more years left on this earth to wait for another Brady.

You're 3 days older than dirt!

I lived through the mediocre years myself. I also remember screaming at the TV in 1976.
1976 was also the 1st year as a Patriot fan.
Previously, I would never consider watching sports on TV. As a professional athlete, I would never have time for TV. Didn't even own one.

I believe the team is poised for being competitive. Good enough for me, we had many great years. Thanks for that Mr Kraft & Co.

In my opinion it's the constant pilfering and replacing of our coaches and front office staff that might lead to extended mediocrity. No other team deals with that like the Pats do and we don't have TB12 to bandaid it anymore.

I don't see them snatching up BBs sperm, maybe he should get rid of those two and bring in some real coaches. Why Mayo is not our DC boggles my mind.

We really don't know if he is ready. BB does know but he hasn't told us (yet)

He did tell us by not doing anything. Our defense fell apart after the Bi-Week and stayed broken and no changes made, said all I needed to hear. BB is favoring his offspring and it's hurting us
