F this league.
F them all
You know something is wrong in the world when a Sabres fan (me) and a Flyers fan (you ) agree.
I am just plain tired of it all.

Sounds like Bill Daly might have fallen off of the "hill will we die on". TSN reporting some of the details (including a compliance buy-out).

As has been reported, the terms are:
" Term limit on player contracts moves to six years from the five years NHL asked in previous offers (seven years if you're re-signing your own player).
" Year-to-year salary variance moves from 5 percent (NHL's previous offers) to 10 percent.
" Each team will be allowed one compliance buyout before the 2013-14 season that will not count against the salary cap but will count against the players' share.
" The Make Whole provision stays at $300 million.
The only thing I could see the FLYERS asking for now is that if a 35+ player suffers a career ending injury that their cap hit is removed. This is because some teams can't afford to have a pronger on the roster and really replace them so in the long run it costs other players jobs. That said I'm hoping that this is the beginning of the end now and I can watch some NHL hockey soon because as much as I'd like to pretend I don't miss it the WJC is making me realize I'm lying to myself.
Funny thing is if the rules stay in effect where Pronger could be placed on ltir I see no problem with the Flyers paying him(I meant financhially afford not being inable to replce them). However can u see Jacobs wanting to continue to pay Savard with his stance on other issues? What about PHO is Doan goes down already being a struggling team? The other side to the issue is that if the big market teams have their $ tied up elsewhere going to a lower cap hit a lot of FA's will have to settle for lesser offers due to lack of bidding and I can't see the NHLPA liking that one bit. I'm just trying to point out an issue I think Fehr could make a mountain of is all.
I was just being sassy
I agree. But if they dont allow it and the 35+ stays on the hit will they keep him on LTIR forever? he wont be allowed to retire and get into the hall of fame which we all know he will. or will it go to the end of his deal only?
