ever see that Steven King movie "Dead Zone"'? same thing.

Great movie Jimmy, I pretty much enjoy anything that Christopher Walkin is in.

Yeah, Walkin was pretty good in it.

I'm glad if anything its not like a 51/49 split like I feared. I assumed many players would just like to get a deal done regardless of the outcome, but this shows they are united.

Just hope they are also "informed" correctly...

Eh
Vote was a waste. It wasnt needed for the PA to file. It was just a vote to keep the option open. If it ever goes to court it will take years. Just another PR stunt instead of progress.

I'm not a hockey guy but this shit is sad! I was starting to get in the NHL spirit during the playoffs last year. I thought a lot of people around here (Baton rouge) were also getting the fever. Then... this happens. Way to go and shoot yourselves in the foot. Like i said... not the most knowledgeable guy on hockey but i can spot BS with the best of em.

also are you trying to kill the sport? I mean i know you all have been through this once before but when do yall just stop going and just watch it on TV. I'm pissed off for you guys.

I think it was effective as a show of unity. The NHL has been trying to sow discontent amongst the union during this whole process. A lot of fans have wondered if the union was just serving an elite bunch and that the middle and lower-tier players would rather just sign a deal. For now, at least, it appears the opposite is true.

.

At this point I will assume there will be a stoppage every time the CBA runs out. If I get tired of it, getting close, I might stop following it. Right now I just want this season cancelled, I dont want a mini season and will not purchase Center Ice for it if there is one.

Of course as soon as they cancel this season I can see this stretching into next.

I'm really starting to think it will.

They will have from not until next fall to get a deal done. If this even gets close to spilling into next season, that is when we as fans need to suck it up and deliver a big FU to the NHL and players. That would be the biggest middle finger to the fans ever if they can't get something worked out.
