LOL...Wonder if DekStar actually made any improvements when they heard he was showing up? Like fixing the boards, painting or even replacing the MANY busted up waffles on the surface.

For sure, that place is a shithole!

Anybody have any idea what this means?

Renaud Lavoie ‏@RenLavoieRDS
As reported on @hockey360, Players are not only voting on the disclaimer of interest this week, but to have a professional trade association

Renaud Lavoie ‏@RenLavoieRDS
The Professional trade association will replace the NHLPA if the executive board wants to go with the disclaimer of interest.

At this point in time I am pretty close to a disclaimer of interest myself.

Without a doubt.
Just a few of many stories, the back boards at one time were so rotted out during a game I was playing one guy takes a slapshot and put it through the boards and hit someone watching the game. Was on the net side of the parking lot.

Then while coaching my son's team once I was pissed at one of the ref's, that I slammed the bench door and it fell off due to the hinges being in rotted out wood.

Honestly I thought that place was a tax front due to how bad of shape it is in.

My son went to play at Team Pittsburgh because how bad it is there. Granted Team Pittsburgh is in the hood but nice new dek's.

I suppose that if you tok the time to read through the NHL Class Action Suit you would have already seen this little 'tidbit', but for those - like me - who are too lazy:

bleacherreport.com: void all player contracts?

yup, no contracts, no draft, no salary cap.... completely open season.
that's the main threat the players have.
how many owners want to lose everything they have built, from the starts right down to their prospects?
granted, some teams may want to start completely over (*cough Calgary cough* :D )

Hey now, our prospects in the pipeline are looking pretty good these days (along with one year closer to getting rid of some bad contracts).

Are we to believe the owners are going to go after every player as if they're an UFA? I just don't see it.

There would go the Penguins chances. Outside of players that Crosby recruits, we'll be screwed.

The NHL would not play without the CBA. The main thing they would gain is they dont have to play the players if the contracts are not valid, so the player cant sue for 3x pay. Once the PA reforms and the CBA is reinstated contracts will be reinstated as well.

I like Garrioch better when he is posting asinine trade rumours:

Stop me if you have heard this before: There has no talks between the #NHL and the #NHLPA

If every player became an UFA & the league as a whole decided to act as such is the case Crosby wouldn't be a Penguin for very long.

Crosby actually doesn't worry me that much. He has a lot of ties in Pittsburgh now. Malkin, Letang and Neal would worry me the most.

Confirmed by LeBrun:

Real_ESPNLeBrun: Steve Fehr reached out to Bill Daly today. Short phone call. But still nothing scheduled in terms of resuming bargaining talks
