I'm not so sure, if it takes to long I think we'll see a bigger loss of fans than usual. Deservedly so too, this was handled piss poor from the word go..

I'm still not convinced we won't see hockey this year, but I more or less agree with that. It may take them a few years to grow it back to where it was circa 2012 pre lock-out, but it will be back. It's entertainment in an era of human history where it's consumed like a drug. People like it too much for it not to be consumed once again.

Exactly. The same people saying "Ya im t0tes done with this. screw teh NHL" are the guys posting comments daily on TSN. Sorry, but you leaving is not going to scare the NHL because, frankly, you're not. Kind of redundant, but it has bothered me for a while.

It's the new fans they made that they have to worry about that. The NHL was GROWING. Now it will decline. Those hinge fans will not give a shit if there is a season or not. This is very bad for the sport in America. I really hope some networks here step up to show more college/CHL games and give a big FU to the NHL.

To be honest, I really don't see the amount of "fans" lost this time around as close to what we saw after the last lockout.

I think the NHL got to a pretty good point where they really shouldn't miss a step once things start up again.

Yes, but what is stopping the hinge fans from coming back? I dont think this hurts them as much as it hurts the die hards who actually follow this whole bumble fuck. While I doubt it, any die-hards that leave are leaving because they are insulted by the way the league treats them, something casual fans wont even notice.

And yes, fuck the players. Or at least the Coles, Prusts, Whites (Reported?), Parenteaus, and Fehrs
