Chargers survived a last minute drive by the Ravens and will be visiting Foxboro on Sunday 1/13/2019 at 1:00. New England is expecting two separate snowstorms on Tuesday and Wednesday. The weather will be frigid until Sunday when the high temp is expected to be somewhere between 28-31 degrees. The game that the Chargers played against the Ravens was the coldest weather that they've been in all season.

Philip Rivers is no stranger to the patriotsor Bill Belichcik. He's a pocket passer and does not have his deep WR Keenan Allen. The Patriots defense plays best against pocket passers because they lack the speed to run down scramblers.

The longest pass play against the Ravens was 28 yards and that play came in the fourth quarter.

Expecting that the Chatgersmight come a day or two early in an attempt to adjust tro the time and the weather. Otherwise it'll be a 10:00 AM game in a foreign environment.

Rivers is 0-7 versus Brady. That doesn't mean shit against 2018 Pats.

I have trouble with that because Brady has never played defense. Rivers is 0-7 against the Patriots and his defense has been beaten by Brady

The Chargers last played the Patriots in Sept. 2011 and in Sept. before that. Because of the way the teams have finished in previoud seasons, the Patriots have played against the Chargers in San Diego most of the time in the past 20 years. The Pats did beat them in SD in a playoff game. 2018 is a different year and different teams with the same QBs.

That was a mistake. The 2011 game was not the last time they met. They met in Gillette on 10/29/2017 and the patriots won 21-13. The 2011 game was the last playoff game that they played against each other in San Diego.

Sorry.

The Chargers have a great D and can run the ball, the Pats can't stop the run and Gronk and Edelman are a worry. Three weeks ago I tell ya the Pats lose. I feel they got a real shot here.

Pats 24

Watching Rivers run for the clubhouse before the 1st half was over was very interesting. Fastest he moved all day!

Snow and cold? I'm licking my chops thinking about Hightower being able to outrun Rivers.....

Im not real sure weather makes a lot of difference. I say this because not all the players were born and raised in Cali, or played their college ball in Cali. And the Chargers are built for cold weather to some degree, great D and solid run game.

Depends a lot on which Brady shows up.

I have no doubt the Chargers will be working hard to pressure Brady.. If he turtles or throws half-assed passed we're done.

If he can deal with that, the Pats do have a decent chance...

Friday and Saturday are supposed to be extremely cold and may be the two coldest days so far since this winter season began. Expected high temps are going to be between 22 and 24 degrees. If the Chargers come on Saturday as is the normal routine, they may feel it a bit going from the airport terminal to the bus and then again from the bus to the hotel. Winds are expected to be around 20.

As I previously reported, Sunday Temps are expected to be betweenn28-31 with a severe drop in the afternoon to a low of 17 overnight. By the 4th quarter they will be playing in temps near 20 degrees and the wind is supposed to be around 8-10 until late afternoon when it's expected to increase between 12-20 mph.

Like I also reported, the game against the Ravens was the coldest weather that the Chargers had played in this year and it was a balmy 47 degrees in Baltimore. I can work outside in a sweatshirt in 47 degree temps and not be uncomfortable. Football is enjoyable in that kind of weather.

The ball will be hard and very smooth and the WR may have sticky gloves but the QBs will be wearing nothing on their throwing hand. This is an abnormal thing for Rivers and typical for Brady.

Word is that BB will have the team practicing on the fields outside behind Gillette all week and they'll be out there for the walk-throughs. I can't imagine that the Chargers will do anything different from what got them to this point. Success has a way making NFL coaches complacent. Ask Mike "No Changes" Tomlin.

Did Keenan Allen get hurt again yesterday? He played against the Raisins and had 4 catches for 37.

The cold weather could be a bit of a factor, but I doubt ot will be a major one. Also, the national forecasters are predicting a 50% chance of snow showers. For those of you not living in the snow belt that means light snow, not a blizzard. How much of a factor that would be remains to be seen.

I like New England's chances in this game. They are pretty healthy and if he Pats massive O-line can get a little push in the running game Brady will carve that SD secondary up with play action passes.

The Chargers coach had a very conservative game plan yesterday. Quick, short passes were the norm in an effort to minimize the Raisin's pass rush and I'm wondering if they will try to open it up a bit on Sunday. Personally I think they need to or they won't be able to keep up on the scoreboard.

Bad match-up for the Pats. Worst case scenario played out this weekend.

Unfortunately I will be coming back from Long Island after visiting my 90 year old Mother-in-Law so I will be listening on the radio a lot. We take the ferry from Orient Point to New London which is nice but last time all boats were canceled for weather and we had to drive all the way home which sucked royally!!!

So please, no snow, no snow..
