Disturbed has probably aged worse than any music I was listening to when I was younger. Songs that I would rank 9/10 or 10/10 are songs that I wouldn't waste my time with now. I just dont like the band, the singer...any of it anymore.

Its a decent cover but the original is so much better.
Yeah I used to love them, and now listening back it's just not the same for most songs.

I don’t get the love for it. At least 3 years ago when it was relevant. If you listen to any Simon and Garfunkel version of this (I recommend the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame anniversary video) and prefer this, there’s probably something wrong with you.
Would have probably been better as an original than a cover. In a vaccuum I like it and I think both work in their own ways, but it's clearly nothing like the original and that's definitely noteworthy about it. I can understand why people aren't as fond of it for that reason.

I have not been all that big a fan of Disturbed but heard this on the The Lou Brutus Hard Drive Radio show and really liked it.

Anyone else like this at all?

Plug in the surround sound and crank it up a bit

Don't crank it a little.... rank it as all the way up......:thrasher:

Dave Draiman the best voice in rock....Raspy goodness.:headbanger:

Never heard that one before. Dude has one of my favourite voices of all time. Interesting singer & a really good cover.

How has he not destroyed his vocal cords by now, though?

Nailed it on Conan.

He does have an awesome voice.......

Most people are always gonna prefer the first version of a song they hear.

I can't listen to Janis Joplin's version of "Me and Bobby McGee" because I heard the Kristofferson original hundreds of times before I ever heard the Joplin version.

Mhmmm, that's why covers can be so difficult.

Even here, I think you have two good songs that sound very different from each other and people still hear the original in the cover, which I don't fault them for, either. Hard not to.

Have to agree. Honestly think both just work in their own ways.

I think he brought the emotion to the song that the lyrics required. S&G version was more aesthetic than emotional...if that makes any sense.

If I wanted to hear Art Garfunkel take a dump, I’d just ask him.

Edit: I’m sorry, I don’t know where that came from...

I hated that song......Way too damn mellow for me.....Back in the day I most likely turned the station rather than listen to it....If I did listen to it,its probably cause it wasnt my radio......

You're right SnG,seemed like there was no emotion brought to the song......Draiman delivered.

The S & G original >>>>>> the Disturbed cover and it's not even close.

That being said, I like the Richard Cheese cover of "Down with the Sickness" much better than the Disturbed original.

Wrong........I've ever heard anyone ever say great song until this thread.....Sorry Yoga, but it's not close to whose versions better.

To each their own. But Garfunkel is like 90 here, and still has the voice of an angel.

Yep, beautiful harmonies, but way too mellow.
