28-3 was when I thought and said the same thing, over. Actually I think me exact words were,

Game, set, match.

Man, what is the feeling like? I'm trying to think if I've ever had my team make that kind of a comeback. No way, as what we saw last night was unprecedented. The closest thing for Niners fans is probably when they executed the drive to beat the Bengals in 1989, but that was a piddly little comeback compared to that Pats' comeback last night.

I'm not sure if I posted it here or on another thread, but for New England area sport fans, imo, it was just like when the Yankees were up 3 games to 0 over the Red Sox, and no other team had ever come back from being down 3 in a 7 game series, but the Sox did.

Two unbelievable comebacks for New England sports fans in the last 13 years. It's like the sports gods are rewarding you guys for all the years of Red Sox futility even though they already compensated you guys with all the Celtics success in the '50s, '60's, '70s, and '80s. LOL. You guys have it good!

Total shock, hard to believe, crazy, unbelievable, numb...Even more that the Sox great come back. Probably because this one took only about 15 minutes.

Yes we NE sports fans are truly spoiled.

Even the Bruins in 11'.

I've been a sports fan since the mid 70's, and have lived through a lot of futile seasons with my favorite teams. I can't even begin to explain how it feels these last couple of decades. I've even gotten a bit emotional about certain things, by Gparents seeing the Sox win before they passed for example. (Gpa was born in 1918 and lived through all those years of Sox failure, but got to see them win it all one time.)

Once the 4th Q hit and still down 25 thought it was over McNabb. Kept hearing the biggest second half deficit was 10 and Pats did it 2 years ago, but 25

I continued to say throughout the 2nd half that anything could still happen

At halftime, no. At 28-3, absolutely.

Yet, there's a fine line between that and truly thinking that they would actually pull it off, no?

At 28-3, I texted my buddy and said "Well - let's see how the Patriots handle being down 25 in a Super Bowl". His immediate response - "Greatest comeback of all time".

I think the first time that I actually believed they could win, was when they showed Brady's reaction to the fumble recovery.

I had been telling people for 2 weeks that I was rooting for Atlanta but I wouldn't count out BB and TB even down 3 TD's in the 4th quarter. They just always somehow find a way to pull it off. I don't know for sure if I even believed that, but I wasn't ever going to bet against them
