Remember signing bonus is NOT the only guaranteed money. His first year salary (which will be very low) will be guaranteed and most of if not all of his 2nd year salary and maybe some of his 3rd year salary will likely be guaranteed.

If the bonus is 15M his salary in years 1 and 3 will be 10M with the contract structure mentioned. With such a low bonus would be a possible cap casualty yearly.

I don't think the season would be down the drain. Did I say that? It would certainly be a tougher road for Dallas with no Dez, though.

In my scenario Dez would also have roster bonuses and workout bonuses.

If you asked me before the year if I expected 12 wins without Sean Lee, Demarcus Ware and Jason Hatcher from the previous years team I would have said no. If you want to talk about winning without Dez I personally think we can do it even though it will be much harder, but I worry about that in 2017 and after seeing what other players we use the $15M per year he wanted on...
