Alex Wilson (shoulder) is set to come off the disabled list and will join the team in Houston on Saturday. The right-handed reliever had been sidelined since March 25.
Wilson should fill a back-end bullpen role for Detroit. In 2015, he was 3-3 with a 2.19 ERA in 59 games.
Buck Farmer will be sent to Triple-A Toledo to make room for Wilson.
To be fair...Pelfrey was pretty lucky to give up only one run yesterday. Eleven baserunners (5 hits/6 BB) in six innings. That's just about 2 runners per inning. He needed a couple of DPs to save him.
Rubber game for JV. Third start. One good - one bad. What do we get today?

Agreed, but the AL Central looks like a beast 11 games in.....Only three teams in the league, Cubs, O's and Nats have better records then the White Sox, Royals and Tigers....
Real early but the Sox are 7-2 on the road, that's pretty impressive.......Right now it looks like a dog fight in the Central, injuries will be key to any team wanting to win it.
Sanchez has four career starts at Minute Maid Park and has a 1-1 record with a 3.09 ERA. In his lone start vs. the Astros in 2015, Sanchez allowed seven runs on eight hits. Third baseman Nick Castellanos is hitting .368 after going 3 for 4 on Saturday. That's second among Tigers regulars, behind J.D. Martinez (.385).
Tiger pitching. So far it appears decent. On the surface, their 3.76 ERA is about the middle of the AL. But looking closer, you'll see that it is built on a rather flimsy foundation. Their team WHIP of 1.41 is tied for the worst in the league and their 'BA against' is the second highest. Their BB rate is also in the bottom 5. One positive...only 6 HRs given up.
OK Tiger fans! Name the player who will get the first Tiger triple of the season. I've got to go with Gose.
