The bullpens have combined to allow 9 runs in today's game. And we still gotta sweat out F-Rod.

F-Rod threw three fastballs at 88-89, several changeups between 82-85 and a slider at 83. Simply not even close to enough separation between the fastballs and the offspeed stuff.

KRod....he reached 89mph on a couple of pitches. How can you have an 83-85mph change up if your fastball is only 88-89?

That's what I'm sayin'. The changeup has a bit of a downward break, so it looks different. But the speeds are too close to his fastball velocity.

As was stated before the season started...with this pitching staff, the Tiger offense will need 5 or more runs to get a win in most games. This one looks like it might fall into that category.

The Tigers are averaging 6.13 runs per game, and Cabrera is only hitting .241.

They scored 7 today with no DH and Tyler Collins, Bobby Wilson and Andrew Romine in the lineup.

I know it won't last and we will need the bullpen to hold 1- and 2-run leads at some point. But it's fun to watch this team raking so far.

Keuchel (sp) is a tough pitcher at home, might be a quite night for Tigers bats.....With Pelfrey pitching the bats are going to have to come alive tonite or this could be a frustrating loss.

So far, playing out pretty much as anticipated.....Need a Bloop and a bomb to turn the tide of the game.

Can the bottom of the order punch through a run or start a rally.....The longer this stays a 1 run game the Tigers have a shot.

Well, Pelfrey makes it through 6 innings only giving up 1 run......That's a success in my book.....Too bad Kuechel's PC is still in good shape and the Tigers bats have been shut down as expected......

Still only down 1 run, but with Kuechel still throwing good and our BP coming soon, it's not looking good.

Someone needs to hit a HR or something.. Losing 1-0 is as bad as getting their asses kicked imo

Ya, with this lineup it's frustrating but Kuechel is mad good at home and the writing was on the wall unless something happens that is a fluke.....dude might shut us out and that is embarrassing.

Good pitching always beats good hitting.
