That's the Upton arm I remember from his AZ days. Strong but not accurate.

Upton...gets tossed for throwing bat. Leading the major leagues in strikeouts. 20 and counting. He also tied for the lead in strikeouts during spring training for all teams.

Starting pitching as a whole has been mediocre minus Zimmerman and it has to change. Tigers lineup is still decent but so far Upton is a hole in the lineup.

That's a good thing ... We lost, but we came back from a 5-0 Deficit. Houston hung on ... Good game overall (it would have been better if we won). Tigers have a day's rest before going into Kansas City (unfortunately KC will be rested as well).

I am going to get Woody Hayes, Bo Schembechler, Vince Lombardi, Casey Stengel, Joe McCarthy, and especially John McGraw, along with a bunch of other old dead coaches to come in here and slap you guys silly. Losing is losing. It does not matter if other teams lost! You FAILED even WORSE if they did. Those teams gave you an opening and you failed to exploit it! Your team were DOUBLE the losers.

162 games is a lot of dam games.. If there were 16 games in a MLB season I'd be worried

As Sparky said, you have to give the season about 40 games before you reach any major conclusions. And the ALC, except for one or two series, hasn't played each other yet.

Lefty Blaine Hardy, who was sidelined late in spring training with a shoulder impingement, was activated from the 15-day disabled list this afternoon. To make room for Hardy on the 25-man roster, righty reliever Logan Kensing was designated for assignment.
