The Tiger season in a nutshell: first batter of an inning gets a hit, second batter walks. Two on, none out. Despite the fact that the guy in front of him just walked, the third batter of the inning inexplicably swings at the first pitch and grounds into a double-play. Next batter pops out or whiffs. Inning over, no runs scored.

I heard yesterday that the over the last 16 games (since Vmart went on the DL), the Tigers have a .348 OBP (tops in the majors over that stretch), but are hitting .218 with RISP and have the most GIDPs. Frustrating as hell.

Marlins scouting Tiger's Erie and Lakeland. Tiger's looking at Martin Prado for 3rd base and may send Castellanos down if he continues to struggle... my inside sources in marlins tell me. Marlins looking at Ziomek or Kubitzta.
