I like that Greene had a strong outing with no run support. Good sign, prolly won't see many nights with no support. He is showing early signs of not missing Ricky P.

I also would not shed a tear if Nathan developed blisters on every finger, his toes and maybe a nice festering boil on his ass to keep him on his current DL stint.

Yep, and breathing a sigh of relief (no pun intended) that Soria is starting out well. 3 saves in 3 opps, and has only given up 1 meaningless run in the win over Cleveland when the Tigers let a baserunner walk to 2nd and 3rd.

I think if Greene's turn in the batting order hadn't come around in the top of the 9th, he would have gone back out in the bottom half. But I can't blame Ausmus for batting V-mart in that spot and trying to get 1 more run in a very close game.

I didn't get to watch or listen last night. Turned it on as Soria was making his first pitch and wondered why SG didn't get to finish. But saw it was VMart hitting for him with a man on in the 9th that did it.

Not sure if it would have happened if Ol' Joe was around. Hard to knock Victor pinch hitti g for a pitcher no matter what though.

I still don't trust our Bull Pen yet.....Thanks to good SP pitching so far we havn't had to see them.....I still didn't like the call considering Greene was unhittable last nite and we had a 1 run lead....Would have been pissed if Soria gave up a bloop and a blast.....

Yes, absolutely. No lead is safe with Nathan but Soria has been great. Greene was dealing but had just given up a couple of loud outs on deep fly balls in the 7th so he wasn't unhittable. If he'd hit and then given up a bloop and a blast in the 9th we'd be talking about how could Ausmus leave Victor on the bench with an insurance run on 2nd.
