Not resigning Scherzer will be another blot on Dombrowski's resume in Detroit. I agreed with that decision...but when fans look back at it a few years from now, it will look like a mistake by DD.

I honestly cannot fathom how a GM can leave a team with a bullpen/pitching staff like the Tigers' have today, and still be considered one of the top GMs in MLB at this time? A GM with a weaker resume would be looking for work if he allowed a debacle like that to be created on his watch.

Next season will be a "mirror" of this season. Al has proven, " already" that this job is too big for him and until a legit skipper is put in place, expect the SOS for 2016.

The one positive of Ausmus being back is that a lot of downriver Debbies and Fat grotesque Juggalo chicks have a lot to look forward to in the coach.. Heard a few call backs on 97.1 singing the praises of retaining Ausmus for this very reason..

The BIG positive the Tigers have going for them this winter is - the Detroit Lions - with the crap that sports 'franchise' is producing, whatever the Tigers do will look spectacular!. After the media gets done dissecting another awful Lion's loss each Monday....even the announcement, by the Tigers, that they signed a potential 3rd string catcher out of the Independent League, will look good.

Speaking of which that team looks good.. And they have depth now with Larkin and Pulkkinen.. I say they could go deep in the playoffs but it could be their year in a couple.. Pistons are still too young and the Jackson contract could bite them, but they could surprise this season..

Here's the positive side about Ausmus being back as manager: He knows the team and the management positions are set. Everyone has to get on the same page and make the right free agent moves. Ilitch is going to want people downtown when the new arena opens. He will open his wallet, Ilitch has never been shy about that.

Good or bad, Ausmus is our manager, he has my support!!! Now close out this thread because 2015 is dead. Open up a 2016 thread, for the Tigers next year is here.
