Hanrahan is a proven commodity and I like the deal, but with obvious caution due to him coming off Tommy John surgery. Definitely a step in the right direction.

They signed Hanrahan. You die hards see this helping or not. I am at the mercy of major network games and road trips to Chi town, KC and Minny to watch. You guys keep me more informed than reading most media outlets.

I mentioned hanrahan a few weeks back. Its a slight gamble but worth it i believe....hes coming off TJ surgery and will go on the DL. But we need him for the stretch run. Hes been a great closer before. You can never have enough arms in the pen...IF this works out well, id love a deadline trade for a good lefty for the pen....that would help us out big time if we make the postseason.

The perfect scenario would be ray pitches tuesday and performs very well....and in the long run keeps pushing for a spot in the rotation and move smyly back to the pen and ship coke anywhere....just not detroit.....or toledo.....or erie......or lakeland.....or grand rapids....i wouldnt wish that for the fans of those teams.

Truthfully i think coke is only on the team because hes a great teammate. If you ever notice hes always happy for others. He seems to always be into the game. He just cant pitch. Maybe he should retire and become a bench coach. Give him geno's job.

I live in Iowa. Went to Target Field last year. Kauffman 3 yrs ago. When I do come to Chi-Town it will be a Cubbies game first...bucket list! Wouldn't care if they played Astros, just a bucket list thing.

I get to watch on national games like Fox Saturdays or FS Midwest and FS North Cards (closet Cards fan... smart franchise) and Royals and Twins games. I tape when I go the road to work and normally don't watch anyway. Already know the outcomes. Just never know when a perfect game may be fucked up by a bad call, I watch then.

The I-Cubs (AAA) play here in Des Moines. They are fun to watch. Truly funny how they play really good ball and never translates to pros???

The kid pitches anywhere close to his minor numbers that just may happen. Just hope the outings from Joba of late stay this way until Hanrahan can contibute. Read they will treat him with kid gloves for a awhile.

Having combo of Hanrahan, Smyly,and Joba with another lefty aquirred at the break setting up for Nathan would be nice.

Now that actually looked like a professional dismantling of a quality (KC) contender......Good Job all around Detroit.......I want to keep seeing that type of baseball. Production from everywhere.
