Can ANYBODY out there tell me how many games Rod Allen played for Detroit in 1984? I'm sure he wasn't on the WS roster.


I do remember a video of him chasing someone in Japan though.

15 early in the season. 27 ABs. I remember the season well, but I don't remember him.

I wanted to let Jalopy/Mike's friends know that he died this afternoon. Emily (his wife) emailed me to let me know that he went peacefully and at home. He leaves a 5 year old son.

I wanted to let Jalopy/Mike's friends know that he died this afternoon. Emily (his wife) emailed me to let me know that he went peacefully and at home. He leaves a 5 year old son.

I had no idea he was battling cancer. I remembered he had a young son... Man, that's awful. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

He sure was passionate about Michigan (alum) and a great Tigers' fan/poster (very intelligent guy). We had some good arguments and conversations over the years. Will definitely miss the camaraderie.

Ohhhhhhhhh..... thats absolutely gut wrenching. I had my share of squabbles with the man. Lord knows plenty of us did. He was an opinionated fan, and a loyal one. But that breaks my heart. Honestly does. He had a little boy to raise. Can't really even put it into words how sorry I am that he won't get the chance to see her grow up. A hardcore Tigers fan to the end. And a proud Wolverine, once a memeber of the baseball team and a teammate of Larkin and Sabo I believe. I sincerely hope he's at peace and hope for strength to his family in this awful hard time. God bless You Jalopy. I'll think of you for years every time Nicky C makes us all happy. RIP my fellow Tiger fan.

Wow, I remember him posting that he wouldn't be on as much due to health issues, but I had no idea it was that bad. Thoughts and prayers to his family. He was a great fan, and an intelligent poster. He will be sorely missed.

Wow...that sucks...i remember him saying that also...then a week later he was back on nagging me so i thought he was gonna be ok?....he was my joker to the batman....imma miss arguing with him....sad about his daughter...i got a 4 and 6 yr old and that makes you think....

We agreed on almost nothing when it came to the Wolverines or the Tigers, but He was a fan. Condolences to his entire family. I wish nothing but the best for him in the afterlife and the family in the here and now.
