I think UM plays good for a half....the thought of ruining states championship run..cook will have a terrible TO....but i see it being 27-17...state winning....but im hoping for a 49-3 blowout




Friggin maddon.....why didnt u quit LAST YEAR......maddon to cubs....book it....guy will have them contending in 2-3 yrs.

35-11 and I'm very happy. MSU looked sloppy at times and Michigan just plain sucks.

Maybe a final 4 in the picture here?

True, but most fans are tolerable until they win it all. Then some become awful. Not all royals fans are tolerable. I can think of one thats a nasty tigers hater.

Waiting for "you know who" on the ALC Smack Talk board to say the Royals season was meaningless because they didn't win it all. That's what he's been telling Tiger fans for the last few seasons.

Im not sure, whos available? While vmart had a ridiculous year it was a contract year. He wont put up those type of power numbers again imo and somebody is going to pay too much for too long of a contract. He will be washed up in two years. If tigers could get him for two years I would be all over it, but we know thats not happening.

My sentiments exactly. The Tigers won't get him because some team is going to overpay for four seasons, with the hopes that they get 2 "great" years out of him in 2015-16.

Yeah, I'm guessing the Tigers are thinking Dirks is damaged goods now, but the Blue Jays snapped him up pretty quickly.

And the Tigers tried to cut Don Kelly before, only to bring him back on a minor league contract and see him play the entire season with the big league team. Like a bad rash, he keeps coming back. I'm reminded of the old Bob Uecker line: "Any idiot with talent can hit .300, but to hit .212 and stay in the league as long as I did? That takes genius!"

Dirks is probably gone because of health and he is a corner OF, not a CF. DD probably feels better with Collins and Moya in addition to JD taking one of the corner OF spots. Lets remember Tigers have all DR reports on Dirks last season. Maybe the Jays have space on the 40 man that the Tigers do not. Tigers added alot of players to the 40 man while Dirks and others were on the 60 day DL not counting against the 40 man. Once the WS ends all DL exemptions stop.

Cleaves The Hut and Snort have to go. Miller would be a definite plus for the bullpen. not to sure about Gregerson but wouldn't mind seeing either of these David Robertson, Francisco Rodriguez or Jesse Crain but any contract offered to him should be incentive laden with him coming off a year off because of injury.

Im not sure if BMore payed up on his option or not. Id love to see him in right. Not sure if Ive ever seen defense at that steady of clip in right my whole life. Im thinking I haven't.

Kelly is far from done. Hell, he's just gettin' warmed up for a big, breakout 2015.

Miller is definitely high on my wish list.

I could handle Hunter as a 4th OFer/PH/seldom DH. But he can't be a starter for a team that seriously hopes to contend.

Vet minimum type one year deal.

FA outfielders look pretty thin. Markakis and maybe Melky Cabrera. Both 30 years old. Both corner OFs. Markakis is a considerably better defender.

I would love gregerson or miller. I would also rather see lester pitch here next year than scherzer, and the tigers wouldnt lose a draft pick signing him, dont want to see vmart back unless its a two year deal or less. Would hate if they signed billy butler (would be awful). They should have traded scherzer instead of fister last offseason, but Ive said that a lot. Their number one priority should be extending price, followed by solidifying the bullpen.

I would love markakis, he would be a huge upgrade over hunter and wouldnt break the bank. Hes not a big power hitter but he gets on base consistently and plays great d. Will also be nice to have iglesias back.

Not a huge fan of melky. He benefitted from peds two years ago and playing in toronto last year. Before SF, guy wasnt much to write home about.

I would be impressed if he got more HR's than Holaday did. Maybe a OPS of .700 or better.

Got to get someone who can play CF in Comerica....last year was a disaster after AJ was traded....Millar in the BP should be top of the list...not sure about VMart yet{a lot of production to replace there....
