Lobstein IMO trying to solidify his role as the # 5 starter next season, assuming Max leaves and there are no FA signings.

The Tigers are 24-14 combined against KC and Cleveland. 15-17 combined against Minnesota and Chicago. It's absolutely maddening. Seems they see a weak opponent and everyone in the lineup gets careless, swinging at crap, not making the pitcher work, etc.

On the plus side, another nice outing by Lobstein. Too bad it was wasted.

Lobstein to get the start in game 161 on saturday. However the issue is this. Tigs up 1 game on the Royals with 3 cy youngs going the next 3 games. Price, JV and Max. Tigers need to get it done the next 3 games otherwise it may end up in the WC game. Ideally the best bet is to have the title sewed up before Sunday and have Ryan go on the last day of the season and everyone rested for the playoffs.
