The difference between regular season and playoffs is time off.....Players get a day off every few days.....Thats plenty of time for Sanchez or Porcello to recover from 2 or 3 innings of pitching.
I would like to see Lobstien as a lefty out of the pen in the post season along with your gang...
tigers got away with one today. the questionable play about the tag up is not reviewable. I will be interesting to hear the umpires postgame comments as to why they reversed the call. Using the video board is a no no. However since the Royals manager did not play the rest of the game under protest, not much that can be done.

Muzz. The issue is the people in NY told the umps (correctly) that it isn't reviewable. However they were showing it on the big replay board for all to see. I can't imagine when the crew chief is on the phone to NY the other umps aren't watching the board with everyone else. I just want to know without video review how they decided to overturn the call when the 3B umpire said (incorrectly) the runner tagged up. Of course the question has to be asked is why the home team would show a replay that can only hurt you the home team.

No, the question that has to be asked is: How did not one of FOUR umps not see the obvious no-tag in the first place??? Incompetence. Complete incompetence at doing their job.
this is why we have replays. Can't blame the umps here. According to Mlive only hernan perez on the Tigers bench noticed he didn't retouch. Of course the problem is he doesn't speak the chosen language of our country. So he informed Omar Visquel who notified Ausmus. No, the question that has to be asked is: How did not one of FOUR umps not see the obvious no-tag in the first place??? Incompetence. After the game the umps said they used a consenus of opinion and not the replay board. This is just as bad as when the umps in the Tigers/Angels and the Rays/Blue Jays game were allowed to challenge after the pitcher was on the rubber.
In the end they got the play right, but not allowing a play like this not to be reviewed needs to be changed.

Well Lookie Lookie here........I've been saying this crap for two years......Apparently the Angles listen.......
Will the Tigers follow suit?
Mike Scioscia says Angels may use three-man rotation in ALDS - CBSSports.com
I would imagine that had Garret not went out...it still would be 4 man.
Still same mindset as you are saying, just his hand got forced into it.
