Heck I am a Vet and that crap is for the public.....It's not for us....Hell we celebrate it 3 or 4 times a year....Veterans day......Memorial day, 9/11 etc etc etc......Vet's don't need a day and neither do the rest of special interest groups.

In other news, My nephew down in Florida pitched 3 innings and gave up 1 unearned run.....They had two games today and won 9-1 and 8-7 against the Northeast region and Great Lakes region.....One more win tomorrow and they will be on ESPN 3 for the championship.......14 and under league.......Not that anyone cares but I'm a proud uncle and watched it on the internet and filmed it for him.

Nothing wrong with being proud of your nephew. Is there a Possible MLB future for your nephew? Or is to early to tell.

Way too early....He's only 14.....A college scholarship is quite a possiblity....But if your 14 and have a good chance of being on a ESPN network he's not your average little leaguer......He plays Varisty for his H.S. and on a few travel ball teams. But parents keep a close watch on innings pitched etc etc.....He's being coached by one of the Austin Peay baseball pitching coaches for the past 3 years.......Still no breaking stuff, his arm is too young.

No Doubt......Our Bull Pen might consist of JV in the post season and I'm pretty sure that won't sit well with him......Well tough nuggies.....Pitch like you want to win or spend the post season in the bull pen. Contracts mean crap to me, performance does and JV is starting to edge himself right into that bull pen role based on his pitching and not his contract.

I gained a lot of respect for Lincicum when he willingly went. Guys should be eager to do whatever helps the team. JVs a douche though, so Im not very confident he'd welcome a post season bullpen role. He should. He'd be a better closer than Ol' Joe.

Ricky making his case for starting in post season games. He had 10K's thru 7 and decent pitch count to start the 8th. Ricky has been going deep into games and dealing some K's.

With the bull pen situation I like someone pitching 7 and 8 every time out.
