I am shocked Detroit didn't have to give up Mcann or Moya.

IMO this is it for Max. He will get a qualifying offer and then will shop himself. Not a bad trade Max for Price. Tigers get a lefty that they desperately need.

I am guessing Detroit makes one more trade after a guy clears waivers. Detroit will need a better option in CF than Davis or guy from Cleveland they signed to a minor league FA deal...Eziekal Cabrera?

almost official. Ezekiel carerra pulled from tonights lineup in Toledo. For the season 307 BA, 387 OBP , 43 SB caught 13 times. However a career 251 BA in the bigs. We shall see how he does. My guess is a platoon with davis.

I have mixed feelings. It cripples the outfield. We needed help for the Blowpen. Long term its nice if we can replace Jackson. And they lose to the Sox who literally tried to give the game away. and the umps gave them another out.

There's no doubt in my mind we have the best Starting pitching, but our pen still stinks.......Boy the A's are stacked as well in pitching. I see one of these two team winning it all......Nice to know the A's lost Cespedes in their trade and we lost Ajax.....

Who are the A's replacing Cespedes in the lineup with adrian?

These changes WILL NOT help the Tigers. Until they develop a "take no prisoners" mentality, (and that will never happen with Assmus coaching) they are forever lost as a WS championship team. Listening to Dumbo talk about "all these great changes" and I say BULLSHIT. After Detroit losses in the first round of the playoffs, Ilitch might just wake up, NOT.


Now, how does Detroit trade Rod Allen? Is there some Japanese team that needs an announcer?

Begs the question ... if things go as they are currently, does Porcello go to the bullpen in the postseason? Or does Verlander? I say JV. Precedent has been set (SF with Lincicum in 2012, and we all know what happened then). And the Porcello-to-the-pen experiment last Fall failed badly.

I'm hoping the Tigers can swing something to get an LH reliever like Bastardo before the Aug. 31 postseason-eligible deadline. Not liking our lefty choices for the PS without Smyly.

I think a lot depends on how Verlander is throwing at the end of the season as well as Sanchez. IMO it will be a matchup decision. Porcello and his ground ball style fits well at Comerica.
