Price vs Porcello, this should be a good game. Im glad its on espn, living in MN I don't really get to see very many Tiger games and dish wants way to much money to add on fsn MI so thats how it is. I envy all the posters that live in MI, wish that I could go back there but MN is where im staying. I still give Vikes, Twins, and Gopher fans hell when it comes to my favorite home state pro/college teams and they are all in Michigan

Royals lose again. Now only 3 games over. I will continue to say only the Tigers in the AL Central have the talent to play north of 10 games over .500. The problem will be what happens when the playoffs come.

Smyly will be a nice late season addition to the bullpen. (Im hoping Ray takes his spot in the rotation on Sept 1st so Drew can prepare for his relief role.). Any word on when Hanrahanrahan could join our trusty dusty group of relievers?

Corey Kluber is really damn good. The Royals were no match.

Chance ruffin has retired to be at home with his wife and newborn child. So that means Seattle has from the Doug Fister trade one Charlie Furbush.

not sure of the circumstances around Ruffin. My guess is he comes back at some time. He is 26, yet we really do not know if his wife has a degree and a good job. maybe he figures he is AAA pitcher at best there may be other opportunities for him.Have to wonder if DD isn't on the phone Jack Z in Seattle working out a PTBNL for Ruffin, if he can be coaxed out of retirement. His #'s in the bigs have been less than stellar.

Yeah, that's doubtful. He knows more than everybody about minor league baseball. (Like how serious prospects never play low A baseball. Ya know, aside from Midwest Leaguers like Kershaw, Pujols, Big Z, Big CC, Omar Vizquel, Prince Fielder, Torii Hunter, Victor Martinez, Nicky C, Miguel Cabrera and a good chunk of our Tigers team.)

You're probably right. Billy Beane hung em up young. Things have turned out well for him. Im still very surprised by Ruffins retirement though.

tigers also have robbie ray. Fister intends to not sign an extension and be a FA. So he was moved.
