Yes, Iowa is in tornado alley. Depends on which map you look at. All about cold air from N and NW meeting warm dry air from SW and warm moist air coming up in gulfstream through TX,OK,KS,NE,IA,and Dakotas. Now they are expanding it with more midwest states.
