What concerns me more is location. Another 3 walks in 6 IP. 27 walks in 66 innings/10 starts puts him on pace for about 90 on the season, which would be the most in his career. Obviously missing over the plate too much when he does throw strikes.

BUT -- He's been bad for only a two-game stretch. I'd reserve judgment about his "arm falling off" for later in the season, should this continue. We had the same concerns last season, and he wound up with a 3.46 ERA and owned the playoffs (1 ER and 31 Ks in 23 innings).

They're tearing Scherzer a new one today, so maybe it wasn't all Verlander yesterday. Though the sloppy D today has given them 4 outs each of the first two innings. Can we please bring up Suarez for Danny Worth NOW???

Some were worried after 4-3 homestand. Then 6-0 to start road trip and relaxed some. Now a 1-2 or
0-3 sweep from Tribe is going to freak some out again.

I do hope people realize if the Tigers beat all these inferior teams all the time they would win about 135 games. Not going to happen.

Me, too. Professional shortstops should make those plays 99 of 100 times, and Worth managed to botch two in two innings.

Yes. He had a check swing called a strike and asked for an appeal. Ump wouldn't do it, and I guess Miggy said the "magic word" because the ejection was quick.
