Kelly is stone cold in the last 30 games.....like 50 points worse than 2E....bad fact.....Dirks has been hot over .300 in the same time frame......good stuff.....JV time for you to put those nasty Royals out of there misery.....Vcash on JV......

I think the Tigers have to have JP. Baseball- wise it seems an easy decision. I just wish they would leave Coke off the roster and take some extra speed and defense (Perez).

JV did pitch good tonite.

JV had a decent game, but I wish he would give up less hits.. His WHIP has been AWFUL the entire season.. Fielder is heating up.. Hope that continues if the Tigers make the postseason...

If JP can play LF, I would bring him back.. I would rather have him over 2E, but tbh they probably should cut ties..

Jhonny was spotted taking fly balls in left field when he is allowed to practice before games at Comerica park.

rumor is...he might play in left against left hand pitching.
plus Iggy has had sore shins..so he could fill in a SS. plus Miggy could get spelled at 3rd in games late...when we are blowing out teams.
so jhonny could help this team still. he will be gone next year most likely

Aaron called you a whiner because you pick on the proven tigers players and rag on them when there is no need whatsoever to making such asinine remarks like JV should be benched and not start in the playoffs and miggy isnt hitting so lets bench him a few days. What do you expect? If you had an issue with avila or coke, tuisosopo or alvarez, go to town man, but if you are going to consistently rag on good players i will continue to call you on it.

From what I saw, he was really concentrating on throwing strikes. Definitely leaving too many balls over the plate. His velocity seems ok but his control seems a bit off. I think I would rather see it the other way.

And here i was hoping for another comment on the entire sign and trade fiasco that derailed this thread for two pages, lol. I mean the not sign and trade.


Anyhow, yes i agree its in his head, and each start that he has a setback will continue to affect his mentality and confidence. Baseball is definitely a sport that really can mess with a players mind! And a sport with sign and trades.

I like that he didn't walk anyone yesterday. And that we won. I'm not too concerned about JV, especially on a game by game crisis monitoring level. Dudes had a better season than all but about 25 starters in baseball.....

Concern? Maybe but definitely not time to panic. When he takes the mound in Game #1 he is either going to be the JV of old or totally lose it. I think he will be fine.
