Mostly remember DeBerg from his time with TB and KC... was drafted (and waived) by the Cowboys in 10th round.
Yeah he wasnt great at all, but loved his grit.
Cowboys drafted him (they had Roger)
Went to the Niners (they got Montana)
Went to Denver (they got Elway)
Went to TB (they got Steve Young)
Went to KC had a couple good years
Hell even late in his career he played on the Dolphins with Marino (who was injured)

Remember late in his best season (IIRC) he was playing with a frickin Pin sticking out of his pinky. Just taking snap hurt him. Didnt miss any games. He wouldnt even be allowed to suit nowadays.

Being a journeyman he managed to last 20 years in the NFL.

Dandy Don a bit before my time playing... for me I always remember him on MNF and singing his song.

He introduced this young fan to several OLD classics like Pop a Top Again & Six Pack to Go when being interviewed one night on the radio in the offseason. I hung on every word. Still haven't seen a Dallas home crowd crap on a QB like they did Don the last 5 years he played.

CHARACTER to say the least.
