Magics luster is wearing off. I used to love the guy. Not so much these days.

:agree:..... that was kind of an unnecessary cheap shot...it's not like their downfall was all the coach's doing. He could have easily called out some of the players, or front office types...or better yet just instead tweeted "thanks, good luck" to d'antoni.

Yikes.

Unfortunately not, unless someone hijacked his twitter account. Come on now Magic. He's been getting called out on it left and right. I wonder if he'll acknowledge such.

I thought that what Magic Johnson said was out of line, but I didn't like the things he said when D'antoni was first hired either - at that time I was alone in calling him out. As a professional employer, he was not respectful of D'antoni's family and feelings.

Ollie seems like a good choice if the are looking to rebuild. If they are trying to reload Than Kerr is a good bet

I like the idea of Byron Scott with Kurt Rambis as an assistant coach and bring Fisher in as an assistant coach

shit.......why not kareem, cooper and worthy ??

Worthy has been mentioned, but not by the Lakers themsels. I thought I said Cooper, but I doubt he would be interested and it's doubtful that Kareem would be asked because he has been too difficult in getting along with others in the past

the most prestigious HC job is the Lakers, bar none. They'll have the pick of the litter(minus some stable HC like Pop and Doc) to choose from and will hopefully select a keeper.

4 coaches in 3 years. Short buss and Mitch need to find someone who wants to stay for a longer period and institute a plan

That's what I've been saying all season long. They say that the search is going to be long and exhaustive and they expect to make a splash. We'll see.

They are approaching Clippers level instability with this changing coaches like underwear.

Looks like they may have gotten Kevin Ollie a raise (well, them and that NC he just won). Apparently he's in negotiations with UConn to double his salary.

I saw where Ollie's salary this year was 1.25 mil. Even if UConn doubled it, NBA teams would still pay him more. Basically, if Ollie wants an NBA job, he can take it.
