Of course not, they know it’s dumb which is why I can bust their balls about it. The tournament is harmless and the players seemed to actually care some, played harder in those games, added some interest to the early season. I’m fine with it.

The banner was hung because the NBA requested them to do so to try to gain credibility.

I don't mind the tournament as long as it doesn't interfere with the regular season. I do think they should count all the games if they can (last year's Lakers/Pacers final could easily have replaced the Lakers/Pacers game later in the season, for example). So long as schedules are balanced (with games in both the first half and second half vs all opponents) it should be doable. The home/away mix might not hold though.
