It’s a smart move and while I don’t like it from a green standpoint it’s going to be good for the league

I hate you lol

Supposedly Hurley meeting with the team today

We should know shortly

Watch him be like "Hey guys, Billy Joel was fun. What'd you guys do?" and that's it

I keep refreshing Woj's Twitter waiting for updates.

How dare Dan Hurley take his time on this life changing decision

Looks like nobody wants that job

The first guy it has been offered to will decide today. Nobody has turned it down yet. The only guys that came off their list were never actually available (Lue, Kidd) or jumped on an earlier offer (Lee).

I like it.

Obviously, he hasn't signed yet, so it's not a done deal and even if he does, there's no guarantee it'll work out.

From what is being reported, it's supposed to be a long term, guaranteed deal.

At the very least, the number of years and amount being offered makes it look like they may have finally figured out that changing coaches every 2 years isn't a great way to build a culture.

It also indicates that they want him to build for the future, not just go all in for the end of Lebron's career.

Should’ve just traded for Lue

College coaches track record isn’t good either. I’m not paying 100 mill for a coach with no nba experience

Kerr and Kidd is working out fine and if I’m not mistaken they both went straight to head coach as well. Hurley isn’t a slam dunk to be good in the nba so I don’t think he’s worth 100 million. I will take my chances with JJ if that’s the money you need to offer Hurley

How many of those coaches were coming off back to back titles and were still relatively young? Closest comp is Brad Stevens, who never quite reached the heights that Hurley has. I would say he has been a success story, right?

He's the right guy to chase, remains to be seen if he takes the job. Will be interesting to see how the Lakers pivot if he stays with UConn.

There have been some negative reports about JJ from Lakers players apparently.

Looks like nobody wants to play for the Sixers.

One can hope

Wasting embiids career when they never should’ve gotten him would be fantastic

Bruh, what? Surely they are there doing something else and not anticipating some kind of riot based on his decision

Turned it down. 6/70M was the offer. Where did the 100m rumor come from?

Where do the Lakers pivot? Is JJ next up, or have they soured on him?

Could have announced this earlier. Think it over sure, but any time this morning would have been fine.
