I love watching good goalie play. I get to watch the most athletic goalie in the NHL when healthy. Pekka Rinne. And it is very tough. Still though, they don't get crucified in the media every week just because of a few mistakes.

Lol, you need to tell that to Roberto Luongo, ( of course, he's the most overpaid bum in hockey).

I don't know, most Cubs fans and media seem to be resigned to the idea that the Cubbies are jinxed. I would think the Yankees job would be the worst. No WS ring = lynch mob in NYC, from the media at least.

I do think that QB's take way too much heat when they lose and get too much credit when the team wins. I've said this before. There are notable exceptions in certain games but for the most part, they have more individual pressure than anyone in sports.

IMO having played QB in HS and being fairly average at it, baseball was a lot harder for me. You can either hit a baseball or you can't. Unfortunately, I could not hit a baseball to save my life. Love the sport, but I was absolutely terrible at it despite playing it for years.

That is just my personal opinion though. If I somehow had a natural ability to play baseball I would probably feel differently.

I wouldnt say its the hardest. I think to hit a baseball of even hit a golf ball is the hardest. but if defentiley ranks up there

There's nothing mental there. An NFL pass needs nearly as much precision and physical skill, but also to know where 21 other players are and what they are doing on every play.

The hardest thing in sports is when your wife hooks a big king salmon and you gotta make sure she doesn't lose it.

:laugh3: love it. Wouldn't apply to me though. My wife is better ( or maybe just luckier) at fishing than I am.

Hardest thing in all of sports is to hit a curveball.

Following a 95 mph fastball...I agree, but if you have no heat or no other pitch, MLB hitters will hit your curve the second time around the order.

Some tough jobs posted, but I agree with the OP...the job itself is hard enough...the fact that the lights shine so bright on the NFL game creates a lot more pressure than a MLB catcher, NHL goalie, etc.

The hardest job in sports is the guy with the broom in curling.

I don't know that the spotlight is crazy higher than some other roles, but the mental aspect is what sets it apart. Not just handling the pressure, but the complexity of the game + the pressure + plus the physical skill set required?
