A team to watch make a push this year is the Pelicans, their starting 5 is pretty ridiculous,

Adding Asik, while bashed as a dumb trade by many "experts," is exactly what they needed a defensive presence inside to free up Davis to be more perimeter orientated

Holiday is a top notch defender at the point, handles the ball well and just needs to make some minor adjustments to improve greatly

Evans is a scorer and a good ball handler and is willing to make a pass, him and Holiday are going to have to learn to share the ball a bit more, but that's doable

The biggest issue for them right now is Eric Gordon and his terrible contract and injury proneness, with their lack of a bench ANY injury is going to hurt quite a bit

But Ryan Anderson as a stretch 4 is a nice complement in the frontcourt, they just need some guards and wings that are worth a damn

The Pelicans might be a 7 or 8 seed. They came into SA and won recently. Not many teams can do that. They're in the wrong conference tho, might need 50 wins just to get into the playoffs.

Phi is trying to be bad on purpose. I hate the NBA. All American sports need a relegation process. Keep teams honest and make them compete. It's nonsense that some teams actively suck.

If they play top 10 defense yes. But I'm not sure they can do that. You need to be top 10 in offense and defense to be a title contender IMO
