Im still trying to cleanse myself of admitting I actually clicked on one of his links and now I unwillingly know who Oliver VanDervoot is.
That's where I bought a magic wand for my kids a few years ago...:D

Breaking Down Dak Prescott’s Contract Situation; What's the Delay? ✭

Per the article Dallas is is the 33 to 35M range with 5 years minimum. Granted it's not my signature but I see that as more than fair.

Then it say Dak want's only four years (Yes we already know this), but it also says Dak wants between 35 and 37M per.

If Daks demands are true I say let him play on the FT and look for his replacement in the next draft.

If true it does make Dak look greedy.

seems to me, 35 per is doable, it's the teams high end AND Dak's low end....just comes down to term which is what's been reported going on two weeks now

I think that is where it is headed. I think 5 years and $175 million was the Cowboys final offer, as it should be. I love Dak, really do, but if he doesn't want to sign that deal, let him play on the tag, tag him again and trade him. Use the 2 #1 picks and extra $30 million a year in cap space to replace him. We'll be alright either way

I don't have a problem with 25 per over 5, I do have a problem with 35 per over 4. I don't even want to think about 37 per over 4.

Maybe there was some truth to the 40M reported.

If Daks wants to bet on himself for another contract 4 years from now he needs to take the lower end of the $$$. 33 for 4.

Dak's it's not about the money statement smells a bit rotten if what that link says is true.

I'm team first, and right now, as shitty of a move it coukd be, I'm willing to pull the tag and tell Dak Dak he's free to sign elsewhere. I bet he jumps at Jerry's 5 year deal then.

fuck that.
let him play for 31 mil.
let him risk if the cap goes down because of covid 19
he is already at a discount of about 4 mil having play under the tag.

Problem with the tag is were in the same boat next season and then he's probably asking for 42M per over 4. Besides he hasn't signed the tag, and as much I believe he'll participate in all of mini camp and preseason him not wanting to sign has to put a question mark on that. What if he says he'll sit 10 g as mes play 6 so he gets his year of eligibility then plays the same game next season. I love Dak but it's team first.

we save cap space. & it gives us a year to find his replacement.

If we are playing the what if game.
What if we rescind his tag & he goes & plays elsewhere. We are screwed now without a real plan for his replacement. The tag is the only leverage they have on him.

On a personal belief. I dont know anyone that is willing to give up 31 mil to sit out. As bell found out. You will never make that up. Not concerned with the eligibility game. If he is not the Qb of the Cowboys while sitting in limbo he wont be in commercials as the Cowboys QB. He is not just giving up the 31 mil from playing, but all the advertisement for that year as well.
I really figure they wait till the 11th hour to get the deal done or he plays under the tag. I am not even considering him sitting out.

I don't know if the tag is the only leverage. Pulling thevtag and telling him to go get his deal after most teams either used a high pick or already signed them a vet leaves very few options for him. Plus if he's all set on betting on himself, why hasn't he signed the tag?

kinda standard. When negotiating they usually wont sign it till the last minute to do so if a deal doesnt get agreed with. Which is his leverage.

Manster is getting emotional. It's middle of May and I guess it's a good thing he's not involved in all this. :D

I'm going to trust what I've seen of the kinda person Dak appears to be and have hope. It's been a tough last 4 weeks for Prescott and I'm willing to give him a little more time. I also think most all fans are "team first" but I'm sure it's a tough on Dak when team first wasn't the plan with the RB, DE and LB. Greedy just doesn't seem to fit for me when I think of all Dak has shown the last four years and I don't think that term shows up with his teammates neither

Cowboys made a good offer to Dak. If it ends up 4 years then the guaranteed money better be less

I still believe Dak will sign a 4 year extension.
