You seem angry. Miserable, even.

I don't know why. With guys would have a changed to do well here IMO

As much as I crack jokes on Winston... I’d be OK with him as a backup to Dak. Damn sure would be an improvement over Rush. And I have to believe he comes with a significantly reduced price tag than Cam.

all he sees in the bucks. he doesn't care about anything including his teammates just the bucks.
It is a business first. He just wants to get paid like all the other top QB's.

Cam's skills seems to be diminishing quickly. Not good for a guy who wasn't very accurate.

Winston seems like troubl
e.
Winston is a gunslinger and throws into coverage all the time while Cam is a me person.

Both are extremely talented. If Cam is healthy he's pretty darn good. Dak is the best option, but I'll say this, when Jerry commented last September that a deal was imminent, I would have NEVER believed we would be sitting here a week before the draft at a total standoff on Dak's deal.
I think if a QB falls to them..Tua(injury) or Hebert in the 1st, Love or Eason in the 2nd, Fromm or Hurts in the 3rd...I think a little insurance makes a ton of sense and could give the Cowboys some much needed leverage to get a deal done with Dak

It would make sense for the Cowboys to draft a QB as insurance.

we are not going to use a high draft pick as insurance if Dak holds out.

if we draft a Qb is will be to upgrade the back up position in case of injury. Which wont be one of our early picks

I agree...I also don't see this team signing a vet back up who's paid 20M plus per year.

Unlike many here, I still see this more on Jerry cause he continues to say Dak is his guy while being the ONLY TEAM playing hard ball with their franchise QB. What's mind blowing to me, if true, is term being the stumbling block. Why the fuck Jerry is holding firm on 5 years is beyond reasoning when most all players are aware of a new TV deal coming in a couple of years and electing to sign shorter deals.

So how much is enough? 30M. 35M. 40M. 45M. 50M. It has stopped being business, it has become a case of greed and "I've got to beat how much so-and-so got"

but by every report out there, they've agreed on the amount, it's the term with an opportunity if he plays well to get another big deal with the upcoming TV contracts being renewed. Isn't this just what Dak does....bets on himself?

sorry, I think you're missing the boat if you think this is about getting more money. Reprts say Jerry & Dak's group have already agreed to 35M per. Cmon....if this is true, do you really think Dak would want even more than already getting more money per year than any other NFL player

It has become about creed within the past 10 years. It is unfortunate but a fact of life in the NFL.

Jerry knows what the going rate is for a franchise QB so he should just pay Dak if he wants him to be the guy.

Man I didn't say we will do it(probably won't), but it would be a very smart idea to take a kid with starter potential at some point

I know he had a good season, but Cam was never good IMO and now isn't even an NFL caliber player. just no accuracy. Unstoppable on 3rd or 4th and short when he ran though a few years back.

Dak back to $31M. What kind of stupid system allows for salary changes after a player could have already signed his tag. This could cause cap issues or change whether a player or team was happy with the choice of the tag.
