I'm guessing your source is a fan of the other Pennsylvania team.

This is one thing that I like about Dak. Comes up huge in big moments. I will take wins over stats. Dak will never put up huge stats because we run Zeke on every 1st down. I think the Cowboys need to throw more on 1st downs to open up the offense. The Cowboys' preferred style of play will not lend itself to Prescott putting up huge numbers in 2019. He has not had a 4,000-yard season, but he has 14 fourth-quarter comebacks -- an NFL record in a quarterback's first three seasons.
I agree. Sign Dak now!!!Romo was a solid NFL QB but his leadership skills didn't compare to other Dallas QB's.

OH Shit.Rough practice for Dak yesterday. Let’s hold off a day or two. Just kidding
His footwork is better when no pass rush and the ball comes out so much nicer. I wonder if that Atl game and last year's poor pass protection just screwed up his psyche. I do love how much we are throwing done the field. Even if you miss them you still put it in the DBs head
yes. The simple threat of going down field will loosen up a defense. Now that we have players that can create that threat. I expect things to be easier for Dak. Couple that with less vanilla formations from Moore. Should be Daks best year. (on paper LOL)His footwork is better when no pass rush and the ball comes out so much nicer. You want to spend the next 4-5 years or more finding a QB?. Then you wasted your young running back, and young defense, sucking grooming a young QB. Not me. I don't want to spend more years looking for a QB when we have one. He is not elite, but he damn sure can win for us. Good QB's are hard to find.Well I am going to squabble over the $$$ the Qb's get paid a little. I don't Believe that Dak is in the 30 mill a year category. But that's the world we live in to me he still needs to prove it and if that costs an extra 5 million a year that's fine.
A major issue is when your stars start to get paid on a young developing team and your QB is not elite and by elite I mean top 10 which IMHO Dak is not he is middle of the pack somewhere from 15 - 19. That limits the teams ability to bring in the "cover" players to help out your QB that is playing ok but not performing to the dollars he is being paid.
If Dak performs this year then pay him or if not tag him and look for a replacement. Its a bold concept but sometimes you have to look at the reality of the situation.
JMHO
My only problems with your post are that I think Dak is more in the 10-15/16 range and the "look for a replacement" part at the end. It just isn't that easy. Seldom is there a FA QB that will be anywhere near as good as Dak and if you are going to draft one you need to do it now if you want him to take over in a couple years because you may miss once or twice first and especially where we will be picking in general. But I agree wholeheartedly with the wait another year. I'll gladly give him $38M per year if he takes his game to the next level and has a huge year and shuts everyone up. But it also gives us the ability to tell him he isn't getting a big contract from us if he regresses. The only guy I would pay this year is Cooper unless the others want to leave some money on the table to get their deals earlyWell I am going to squabble over the $$$ the Qb's get paid a little.
