didnt realize he plays defense.
He sure didn't play much offense when going against non shit teams.
didnt realize he plays defense.
Difference is the Skins were low balling Cousins salary wise, the Dak/Cowboys issue is contract length. Personally I think the deal is inked this year and I think it will be for the 5 years the team wants.
Not sure why people keep bringing up the word elite. Most if not, no one is saying Dak's elite, but he has shown he is a Franchise QB, and he should be paid as such. Right now the ONLY Elite QB is Mahomes and thats if defenses don't figure out is no look passes.
You might have a point if Cousins and Dak were the only players to ever be Franchised Tagged.Regardless it's a similar situation, the 2 could not reach an agreement so the tag was utilized. As far as I can remember ours are the only teams who could not come to terms with their starting QB and had to go this route. We both know this is not the route the team wanted to take.

Every FRANCHISE QB gets paid top dollar, its the way NFL contracts work. But he will be paid as if he is elite and that's the problem you are going to have, just as the Redskins would have overpaid for Cousins had they signed him long term.

ok. Lets look at the Losses. He sure didn't play much offense when going against non shit teams.
ok. Lets look at the Losses.
You believe Wentz is worth the money. So lets compare.
Dak lost 8 games. Wentz lost 7. (well their teams did) so very comparable.
Player ****** Dak *********** Wentz
Completions 208 (26.00) *** 167 (23.86) - Advantage Dak
Attempts ** 338 (42.25) *** 276 (39.42) - Advantage Dak
Cmp Pct. ** 61.5% ******* 60.5% - Advantage Dak
Yards ***** 2527 (315.88) * 1767 (252.43) - Advantage Dak
Total TDs ** 9 (1.13) ****** 12 (1.71) - Advantage Wentz
Total Turnovers* 8 (1.00) ****** 12 (1.71) - Advantage Dak
but then I thought your excuse will be about WRs drops en sech.
So I looked up drops, bad throws & worthless INTs. (Hail Marys) Which has nothing to do with QB play.
Drops **** 20 (2.50) 12 (1.71)
Bad Throws 54 (6.75) 54 (7.71)
INTs ****** 2 ****** 1 (which I would subtract out of total turnovers)
The one thing I did notice against Dak was his last two losses his bad throws went up a lot.
Bottomline he is still putting up more offense than your golden boy.
Attempts is just being thorough so you can see all the #'s other than that. Not relevant to me either.lol @ posting attempts as if Dak flying the ball out there like he's something more than a game manger QB and costing his team games in the process is some point of good for Dak.
Wentz: 2-3 vs playoff teams in 2019, 63.6%, 8 TDs (4.4%) & 3 INTs (1.7%)
Dak: 1-6 vs playoff teams in 2019, 63.0%, 8 TDs (2.9%) & 8 INTs (2.9%)
Wentz came to play against the playoff teams, with some big time wins on the road against two teams that Dallas got slapped around by at home. I guess that really is the story as to why Wentz is a winner and champion of the division last year and why Dak is the overpaid QB that he is.

The stats are to prove to you (& others) that how much offense he is apart of.
Like I said. He doesnt play defense.
He does outperform Wentz in almost every category though. In losing games.
In all games he outperformed Wentz in all categories I listed.
The one advantage the Eagles has always had is coaching. Everything else is debatable.
those are the losses. I compiled from. Thought that was pretty clear. In 7 games against playoff teams he only has 8 TD passes. To make it worse he has 8 Interceptions to go along with that. That isn't the defense losing games. That is Dak throwing them away.
Your stats are irrelevant. I'm talking about these guys against good teams and you obviously are throwing a bunch of low rent non-playoff teams into whatever mess you compiled.
those are the losses. I compiled from. Thought that was pretty clear.
you said he lost 6 to winning or playoff teams (forgot what you said)
so 6 of those 8 games are in those stats. I didnt include the winning game. You bounce around when we talk of Dak. I took you saying he sucked in his losing games. I showed you side by side the stats of your hero & dak in their losing games. Since we already know you cant compare your stats for the whole year. Wins & losses are a team thing. You saying Dak doesnt carry an offense in bad games has been disproven here. Which is what I responded too.
Now I used your golden boy as a comparison, because if you continue to say he isnt doing his job. That would mean you are saying either is your golden boy. Since it shows Dak beats your golden boy in almost every category.
If Dak isnt worth the money. Then all you are saying is either is Wentz.
He sure didn't play much offense when going against non shit teams.
After Dak gets paid, Mahomes (Rightfully) and Watson will pass him by, follewed by a few other QBs by 2022.Yeah but Dak is going to end up getting paid way more than any other QB with the exception of Mahomes.
Already turning down deals for $35M per year, once Mahomes signs that deal that will likely pay him something like $42M-$43M Dak is going to be asking for around $38M-$40M per.

Like I said. That's the way NFL contracts work.
By the way Dak isn't balking at 35M, he's balking at 5 years. If you had any intelligence at all you'd know this.
If you had any intelligence you'd know that while Dak wants 4 years at $35M, they are going to have to pay him more than that to grt him for 5. And the Cowboys have already screwed themselves by waiting to sign him after Wentz and Goff that they are going to end up signing him after Mahomes.
Either Cowboys offer him something like $36M-37M per year on a 5 year deal before the July 15 deadline or Dak is just going to wait for Mahomes to sign his monster deal and then he will end up asking and getting more than that $36M/$37M.
Problem is per reports Dak hasn't asked for 35 per. Dallas had offered 35 per, but the word is Dak wants more than 33 per on a 4 year deal. He has rejected a 33/5 year deal due to lenght on the contract, so Dallas upped it to 35/5.
Obviously you have your head so far up Wentz's ass you don't know a damn thing about the Dak contract talks.
You realize you just backed my point up nimrod? They already upped their offer and he has still turned them down. He's making them up it again if they want him for 5 years. So either they do and they pay him $36M/$37M per or they play themselves in paying more after Mahomes signs his new deal.
No I haven't. As of right now money isn't the issue, it's strickly length of the contract. There's multiple possibilities at this point.
1. Dallas could bend and offer a 4 year deal. That could be at the current 35M or maybe it gets gets dropped to 33M.
Dak, could bend and sign the current deal, I'll admit its possible the money bumps a little but i doubt it hits 36M. IMO if the money does go up its just enough to out do Russell Wilsons annual salary.
Dak can play on the tag, and were here again next season with a good possibility the Salary cap is lower, which would limit Daks contact amount, and instead of using the Exclusive Tag, they can use the Non-Exclusive tag, let another team set the contract and either match that deal or take the two 1st round picks as compensation, then roll with Dalton.
I don't know how old you are but your lack of contract understanding leads me to believe the 26 year old remarks are quite accurate.
They offered 35 at 5, they can easily say if you want 4 years were only going to offer 33M, then let Dak decide if he wants the 4 or 5 year offers.1. It's not dropping down to $33 after the Cowboys let the $35M genie out of the bottle. That price is either going up for 5 years or sticking for 4.
The price for Dak only goes up next year unless he completely blows chunks or gets injured. Mahomes is either going to sign a new deal before this season or before free agency starts next year.
