What is ONE THIRD of 32. Hence bottom THIRD

Oh... I thought you meant bottom 3rd like 30, 31, 32... honest miscommunication, but generally when I see most folks talking sports and say 'bottom 3rd' it means the 3 worst teams.

If they were 3rd worse I'd have that a point.
All I'm trying to get across is the Dallas pass protection wasn't all that great last year. Some of that could be attributed to Dak.

Yeah, leadership and intangibles are all off the charts. Let's see if the performance on the field can be taken to the next level this year. :hope:

But one of Dak Prescott’s best attributes is his ability to lead a football team. He has a unique ability to rally a large group of men and have them act as one as they pursue a goal. It was like that when Prescott took the Mississippi State football program to new heights during his collegiate career, and it has been that way since Prescott took over as the starting quarterback for America’s Team.

Interestingly enough, Florida Gators head coach Dan Mullen — who many have called one of college football’s best quarterback gurus and was Prescott’s head coach at Mississippi State — shared during a Tuesday press conference that Prescott is the best that he has ever seen in terms of being an alpha dog.

The quarterback position is so weird right now because you have a guy like Kirk Cousins making almost as much as the top tier quarterbacks.

Does Dak deserve as much as Kirk? Of course. But, Kirk is probably overpaid.

Logically, Dak should be probably somewhere around $ 25 million but he might see 30 million just because of the market

My question to you is why do you think he's not a good QB?

Dak can make all the routine plays, throws for a good percentage, and he has some mobility. Had a rough game last week, but typically he doesn't turn it over much.

What he's not is glamourous...he's not going to have that 30/350/3TD stat line too many times.

Now...is he worth $30+ mil per yr? Not in my book, but I'm so outdated in this area that very few of the QBs today are really worth these inflated QB contracts.

a few reasons:

we saw hes a bag of suck without zeke (barely a 90 rating the first 4 weeks of 2017 without him, barely 60%).
his high comp % is based on throws within his skill set. there are a lot of NFL throws he simply cannot make, or struggles to make. i saw a few his last game he was lucky to complete...he tends to float things a bit to the outside.
hes thrown 6 INT's in his last 4 games.

take away week 1 and hes at:

67%
7 TD's
6 picks
pedestrian 93.2 rating

2-2 record

He caps their upside.

It's great.

Not a threat in the playoffs.

This is the problem with being a Patriots fan.
Everyone is an enemy and given your division, you have no rivals.

This is more about trolling Cowboys fans and hoping for that 5 year Jason Garrett extension combined with giving Dack $40M/year for 5 years.

But why would we take any performance away? To make a point?....I noted that he had a bad game last week with 3 picks, but that's not the norm. No question the OFC has been built around Zeke. You should use a weapon like that if you have it. Dak has grown beyond his 1st yr or so in the league, but the OFC has mostly stayed the same until the young fella took over the OC job this yr.

I'm not a huge Dak guy, I don't want to leave that impression, but looking around this league, he's a middle of the pack QB imo….just his time to get a contract renewed. To me just below that second tier of QBs like Matt Ryan.

exactly. no chance in hell he's worth being paid top-of-the-list quarterback money.
