While the open-world structure opens up the room for comparison, the fact that both the games are in completely different genres should put an end to any comparisons.

GTA, for the large part, has been an action/adventure open-world game that occasionally borrows elements from RPG games. It is not an RPG title and has never had hopes of becoming one. GTA excels at creating cinematic narratives and letting the map feel like a living-breathing film set.

Meanwhile, Cyberpunk 2077 is, first and foremost, an RPG game, therefore making it more comparable to games like Skyrim, The Witcher or even Fallout.

The world of Cyberpunk 2077 isn't a film set as much as it is a virtual playground for the player to interact with on a much deeper level. Every street corner in Cyberpunk 2077 represents opportunity, not just thematically or for the narrative but in terms of gameplay as well.

It's hard to make a game designed around ray tracing run on a PS4. I might have to wait on this one.

Hmm. Played about an hour on PS4. It looks kind of ugly. It also hard crashed during the tutorial.

Crashed again. The first mission was fun. It plays somewhat like Deus Ex, but with more emphasis on hacking than action. The voice acting of the main character seems a bit clunky, though the other characters are good so far. Still very early in the game. Definitely have seen some weird physics. Came across a naked body which suddenly started spinning around.

I started the game. Was planning on playing more today, but there is a blackout. Fucking incompetent electric company. Second blackout in a week...

I understand there is fast travel buy I haven't seen it yet. What it could use is autodrive.

Supposedly there will be a multiplayer mode but don't think it's active yet. This is a story driven action RPG - think Mass Effect

I had a very bad experience with this game today: It bricked my new Xbox Series X.

Game crashed about 40 minutes in during one of the first quests. Then, not only would it not restart--none of my games would start. They all listed the same error code.

I spent hours on a chat with Microsoft tech support, and they had me try all kinds of things including a factory reset that erased all my data, reinstalling the OS via a thumb drive, and logging on with a different profile to see if my profile had gotten corrupted. Nothing worked.

I had to pack 'er up and send her back to Microsoft, RRoD style fellas. I am pissed!
