I used to like Schilling when he played. He didn't have time to yap. I was at the '93 World Series when he pitched game 5 and the stadium was electric. His fastball was faster in the 8th inning than in the 3rd inning. What he did with the bloody sock in Boston was amazing also. Since he retired though, he's been a total asshole. He lost his many millions in his video game business and maybe and maybe that made him lose it. I don't know. I don't care about him anymore.

Stephen A Smith always came across as a racist and bigot. His antics with his loudness and arrogance were always a turnoff for me. Yep, i turned off ESPN when he was on.
So these two deserve each other.

I hate them both, so by default, I support Schilling on this. Why would *anyone* want to have a conversation with Stephen A. Smith, especially knowing that he has an agenda to attack them? But it's more than a little ironic that Schilling (correctly) describes Stephen A. as a bigot who will stir the pot of racism for attention and ratings when Curt Schilling's hero, Donald Trump, is the absolute undisputed master of doing exactly the same thing. Both of these blowhards are horrible, unlikable people. I don't want to see either of them on ESPN, and I don't understand why anyone would.

Don't get me wrong, loved what he did for the Bosox in '04 and the guy really knew how to pitch. But, even back then, yelling out "VOTE FOR BUSH!!" during an onfield interview about a baseball was a real dickhead move. And, blowing all of his baseball money on a video game company was just STOOOPID...former pro athletes with brains learn to lend their names to restaurants or whatever to earn money, they don't blow the whole nest egg in an industry they don't understand.

I cant stand Stephen a but he is right. schilling just cant get it through his head why he was fired. he wasn't fired because of his comments about transgender bathrooms. he was fired because he has been a repeat offender of talking politics when espn has told him repeatedly not to. your not a star pitcher anymore and u don't get special treatment. the guy never shuts up until he goes on the witness stand.
