He's the first real CF we've had this year.

Also, moving Slater and Yaz to the corners makes the D better there too.

Interesting timing. Johnson looked like a worthy candidate for a recall earlier this year. Instead, they went with Krizan and Tom when neither looked very good (one year after Krizan looked worthy of a recall himself).Yet Johnson has worse with each passing month and gets a call up. Still, excited to see him get a chance! Hope he does well.

I am disappointed that Vosler isn't getting regular playing time. His hitting this year has been good in limited big league playing time.

I don’t understand the fascination with Marte. He has never shown anything at the MLB level to justify any commitment. I don’t know anything about pitching mechanics or scouting, so I wouldn’t know the next CY Winner if i were watching him pitch in front of me (nice analogy, don’t you think?), so maybe he is obviously a stud that is just “this far” away, but I just don’t see it.

He must be a stud in the making because he seems to get patience from the org that has rarely been seen with unproven players. Heck, Vosler proves himself in the big leagues this year and still earns a demotion to Sacramento!

Yeah, I don't get sending Vosler down. He at least hits at the MLB level and his defense is not a negative.

Per BaseballTradeValues, the Ruf trade was about 2.5-1 in favor of the Giants. I am new to that website, so I can’t do much but say “here you are”…

And the jewel of the trade was Zwack.
