Did he get even 1 AB for us?
He went 0 for 6 with the team in 3 games.

I do find it interesting that he was seen as a DH option only. He was supposed to have an arguably better fielding acumen than Belt. Yet he was seen as a bat only option . . . in a year where he didn't hit.

Duggar's last stand? I was hoping to see Jaylin Davis again before the season was over (and Conner Menez, because, you know, he actually pitched well when he was up earlier this season).

I saw somewhere that Davis has not looked good at the alternate site this year. Apparently they actually keep box scores and stats for all the games they have been playing and his numbers have been no bueno.

I saw a quotation from Kapler that he swings and misses too often for their taste. Apparently, he's moving into Chris Shaw territory . . . AAA numbers look good but no shot until bat control gets better.

I'm curious how exactly they play games at the ATS. The Giants only have 12 pitchers (14 if you count Moronta & Samardzija), 2 catchers (3 if A Garcia is active there), 5 infielders and 5 outfielders at that site.

Maybe they play a form of Play Ups?

Sammy was outright released.
When I first saw this, I thought "Why? The regular season ends Sunday." But then it began to make sense. He was activated on a day that they didn't need to make a corresponding move, effectively making him the 29th man for the doubleheader. DFA'ing him gets the roster back to 28, without removing a reliever or position player. Considering the way he's pitched, there would be no guarantee of him getting into a postseason start but I guess they could have used him as a reliever. Heck, he couldn't be much worse than Coonrod.

Not sure why he's not up, but it wasn't Conner Menez (or even Andrew Suarez) who got called up but Rico Garcia.
They had the space on the 40 man, why not call up Camilo Doval or Sam Wolff?

I updated the roster for the 20/21 off season. If I am correct, we are currently at 37 on the 40. That allows for 3 pickups/additions before we have to start making “hard” decisions.
