This, I can find understandable. I hate what happened to Savard. But Cooke actually did something shitty. You're not acting like a petulant child because Cookie beat you in the playoffs.

Keep 'em coming, Loki. I can take it. Not sure you're quite getting petulant right though.

Something with frustration might be better. Idk, the way you spun it was definitely more dramatic though. Good job on that part.

People "disagreed with that, but they understood the logic" because no one here says anything un-PC.

I'm not on that high of a horse. I think it's a pretty average opinion to not want to see an athlete injured for my own personal gain. Really, you're just on a very low horse.

eloco's original point was non-PC.

He is OG-non-PC, you are just trying to one up him. Also, trashing someone as a human being for his opinion of an athlete is pretty low-brow and classless. Get down off your cross.

and yes I negged loki for her attacking eloco as a human being for his honest opinions about an athlete.

I found the comment to be illogical, jumping to conclusions, inaccurate and holier than thou. I RARELY neg but when I do it is for being a petulant dumbass.....

...i think that is what that means, it was in a Tool song.....;)

Kinda funny that you are referencing gangstas and it's from a Tool song. ;)

Nice juxtaposition. Actually, Juxtaposition is an a cappella group at VA Tech.

So me saying he is a shitty person for his opinion is worse than him hoping a 24-year-old athlete has health problems for the rest of his career?

Okay.

Okay.

Your reactionary, holier than thou, bullshit attitude was. I do not agree with eloco, but I am not going to trash him as human being for actually being honest, because I have an irrational connection to a professional athlete. It came across in a very childish way, and basically screamed of "whiney little dumbass" superfan. Sorry.

Bullshit attitude: Thinking someone is shitty for wishing injury on a human being.

Perfectly fine attitude: Wishing injury on a human being.

Gotcha.

Okay.

Well, I don't have any magical powers to influence it nor does my opinion matter to Crosby or his health in any way. You calling me a terrible human being IS something I read and see. It wasn't necessary. That's the difference, Loki.

That said, I don't take it too seriously. I'm not out throwing batteries at Derek Jeter - THAT is a bad human being. And I know who I am, you don't. You love Sid, you got pissed, whatever.

You're also simplifying it more than I originally wrote it. It was loaded with caveats including not wanting to see anyone go after him and not hoping he actually any "real" health problems, just enough that he couldn't play hockey. Those are pretty important distinctions.

He's also a celebrity/sports figure, so it's harder to see him as an actual person. People have this disassociation all the time. It's why people judge celebrities and say awful things about them they would never say to a friend/colleague. It's why people jump out of their seats when a fight breaks out and yell "smash his face." Do they really want to see a person get their cheek broken? Or is there some disassociation there?

You're taking it WAY too personally and WAY too literally.
