*happy dance* Just take your time Sid...and hopefully we'll see you next week.
Who's hoping for a Pens - Rags opening round series?
I hope Crosby is done for the season. Screwed me over in fantasy!!!! Islanders in 6 Rangers in 5 Ottawa loses to pens in 4.
With Sid hopefully back in the lineup, this is what I think Game 1 should look like:
Dupuis/Crosby/Iginla
Kunitz/Malkin/Neal
Morrow/Sutter/Cooke
Bennett/Jokinen/Adams
[Glass,Vitale,Kennedy]
Orpik|Martin
Eaton|Letang
Murray|Niskanen
[Despres,Engelland,Bortuzzo]
Bring on the Rags!!!!

I like your lines, but I fixed your pairings. Niskanen + Murray complement each other well.
Also, Disco seems to really like Glass, I wouldn't be surprised to see him start on that 4th line over Bennett, which would be dissapointing.
If Orpik is out, who slots in?

Must be nice to have 5 lines. I'd like to see Pittsburgh play Chicago in the finals with both teams completely healthy. That would be a great Final series.
The problem is the Pens are likely going to play the Islanders. I can't explain it, but for some reason the team the Isles play has lost a player due to injury quite often this season.
Unless injuries happen, Bennett shouldn't sniff a playoff game... Glass is a no brainer... Glass provides toughness and most important, he PKs. Period. end of discussion. Bennett does not, and the Pens do not need help scoring goals.
Why I really popped in today (should be on the game day thread but it doesn't live yet) is: Who will win in today's game: no no no Not Pens or Canes, but the number of goals or number of checks.
That is a good point about about Niskanen and Murray. I was thinking about before the injuries, and that Dan might go back to what was working.
I have also heard/read that he might start seven defensemen for the post-season, and sit a forward. If he does that, it would probably be either Bennett or Glass.
I think you would rather see the Isles play Chicago before watching the Pens
If it ends up being the Isles/Pens in the first round I'm not concerned with a lack of physicality. Injuries are part of the beast that is the NhL playoffs. With that said, there is plenty of grit in Pittsburgh's lineup. You can pretty much guarantee that if NY is targeting the good talent, it will be repaid in kind.
That's what's been strange about the Isles season. They don't target anybody. Injuries just seem to happen to the other team. It's not the Isles fault the PUCK hit Crosby in the face.
