He should have been suspended for the season
really?
your hate for Dallas trumps all unless you can explain 1 game for the gmens kicker, no charges filed in Ohio, a text asking a friend to lie, and an independent council made up of a New Jersey attorney, two women and an ex oiler/redskin player.
go back to the philly board and be somebody
I'm not defending Zeke @ all. You should never hit a woman. But this also the same person that said if he ever broke up w/ her she'd try to ruin his life.
I disagree that you need any additional context, the texts seem pretty straight forward. Then you got the statements.Without context, it's hard to know what that text message meant. I don't see that as strong evidence that she's being dishonest in her accusations.

It doesn't take an expensive lawyer team to file appeal after appeal.
Not sure people will stop watching games because Zeke got suspended.Probably more than that.
It's not just about the image of the league......this is still a profit driven league. When you start suspending star players from teams, that hurts OWNERS bottom line. They'll oppose this more than you realize.
Tuck rule - lives on. 15 years of Faider hate and growing. How will Boston fans react when this goes to court a la Brady?
Zeke "was generally aware" that he would be facing DV-GateAsk the NFL. They found the proof to be sufficient to suspend him 6 games.
I'm not sure what it proves but it is not strong evidence that she's being dishonest about him abusing her.
What are you, stupid?
They have AFFIDAVITS from her friends that she lied. They have texts from her specifically ASKING them to lie for her.
That's solid, concrete proof......I understand you WANT Zeke to be guilty and out, but you are clearly not thinking with any kind of rationale.
They have text messages from different dates cataloging new bruises that were sent to her mom and aunt. Your whole bit about her asking people to lie does not mean Elliott didn't physically assault her -- I'm not sure what you don't get about that. But of course you would buy into the smear campaign that Elliott has launched against her.
I don't care if he's guilty or not. He's suspended for 6 games because the NFL believes he beat up his girlfriend. But go ahead and continue to defend him.
SMH
You, nor the police, nor the NFL have provided ANY proof whatsoever that he beat up anybody.
Her pics of bruises, your whole bit, does not prove he DID assault her.
Go ahead and continue to assume guilt.......this is why the police didn't pursue this, you know, that whole innocent until proven guilty thing
Clearly you DO care or you wouldn't go out of your way this far to presume him guilty. This isn't even about Elliott really - this is about the league needed SOMEONE to make an example out of.
They don't have anything that the police don't have.......which is a bunch of nothing. They have a girl with some bruises......and two distinct and separate cases of her lying about them. They have ZERO witnesses or anyone that corroborates her story.
It's a good thing people like you aren't in the police force or judging cases.

When Elliott and his representatives met with the investigative group in New York on June 26 to discuss the findings, (Peter) Harvey (one of the league consultants in this investigation and former New Jersey attorney general) said the arguments offered "seemed to be theoretical."
"Let me put it to you this way," he said. "Mr. Elliott's representatives argued in a meeting that maybe Ms. Thompson fell down the stairs. There was no witness to say she fell down the stairs, and there were no photographs of her falling down the stairs.
"Mr. Elliott's representatives suggested that maybe because she was a server, what is called bottle service, that maybe she bumped into tables. There was no witness who saw Ms. Thompson bump into tables while serving anything."
Harvey said the maybe defense was expanded to the point where Elliott's representatives even suggested someone else did it without revealing or identifying that person.

Tell me how many domestic violence cases have definitive proof that the boyfriend/husband caused the bruises or witnesses to corroborate the victim's story.
Do Cowboys fans actually believe Elliott didn't beat this girl up or just that there isn't enough evidence?
wrong... this cowboy fan is saying he shouldn't be suspended for 6 games when it's clearly he said, she said. I think 2 or 3 is right based on all that's been said and his lack of maturity. Roger is clearly working the PC room with 6.so maybe you should go back to the Cowboys forum where you can worship domestic abusers in peace.
Come one CowboyB you are smarter than that. This is not traffic court. He is not going to be able to file an appeal without making an argument. We are talking about federal court. He is going to need high powered attorneys the NFL will eat novice attorneys up.
