I am very optimistic as well, but we lost Quinn and Jones from a defense that held us back from running away with a crappy division last year and was just not very good at all and seems to have never been able to come up with big stops in big spots. Still a lot of questions to be answered from a team that made Trubisky, Allen and Darnold (first game back from illness) look like Marino.

I mean.. I get a lot of people hate the Cowboys, but I really don't see how this isn't a good signing and how folks can knock it.

The Cowboys defense still has a fairly mediocre secondary (although Diggs MAY help) and I REALLY have to wonder how much more they can rely on Lee to be an impact player at 34 years old with the injury past he's had. With Quinn leaving (which was a STUPID/RIDICULOUS signing by the Bears, $70M over 5 years FOR THAT!? Quinn sucks in a 3-4 and he's 30) they had to find SOMETHING to replace the pass rush.

I'm still not sure Dallas has FIXED their defense entirely or I'd be anymore terrified of their pass rush than having a younger Quinn back there... but it's still a good signing worthy of the A grade I gave in an earlier post.

And congrats on your stellar 9-7 season after Eagles fans all offseason saying they were one of the SB favorites and your one and done in the playoffs and of course your QB completing his first ever playoff pass before getting hurt...how long you think he lasts this year? 5 games? 8 games? I'm feeling gutsy, I'm going to say he sees mid-December

I don't see him getting hurt at all this year, unless it is practice. But the D doesn't hit 2nd stringers either so it would have to be a fluke.

Brady regressed last season which may be part of the reason the Pats didn't want to resign him.
