Probably a thread that should have been posted on the Cowboys board, but since its here i give my two cents. Dallas O is strong and young, the D needs some pieces but they have good players there too. One or two "Difference Makers" on D and its a very good D. J. Smith if healthy very well could be a difference maker. All you haters can deny how close the Cowboy's are but I know you're all worried.
Honestly, wait til next year doesn't mean shit to me right now. It's too hard in the NFL to win the whole thing with injuries and everything else and you can't let these chances pass. We needed at least one post season win to show we are REALLY ready to take the next step. This sucked. We got down too much early because of dumb penalties and mental mistakes. But ARod showed why he is by far the best player in the league and when you have the best player you always have a chance. Two teams I wanted to bet on to win the SB in the middle of the year when things looked bad: Giants and Packers. Giants fell short, but Packers making those odds look great right now. Doesn't mean they will win another game of course, but the odds are sure a lot lower now.

Like UK said, tip of the hat to Rodgers.

to be fair he did say the future looks bright. he didn't say they future is guaranteed no matter what happens. Injuries happen, we all are well aware of that. But not many teams have a stud QB, RB, and OL that are all <-26 years old. That is why our future looks bright. As the lame Giants fan said, they beat us twice this year. Who will their QB be in 5 years, though?

Fair enough. Your future does look bright.

'member when Marion Barber was theee greatest thing since Emmitt? yeah
Noone ever said that. Barber was a beast short yardage back and would have been great in a system like new england where you have a bruiser and a cop back. We tried to make Barber a feature back which was stupid and caused his body to break down.

Cowboys have 3-4 years to get it done before massive contracts on the offense kick in.

Yep we will have to pay both Zeke and Dak. Pretty much now or make it that much harder to accomplish.

Plus the studs on your O line. Not sure when Dez's deal is up. You'll save money when Witten retires.

An overly presumptive thread. What if Dak just plateaus? How am I not surprised who the OP is. But it's not implausible either. I just wish the Chiefs would have a young QB to build around what is actually a fairly young team overall.

Actually starts in 2018 with the o-line: Free, Witten (shouldn't be too expensive), La'el Collins (RFA)

Dez just got resigned we will resign martin this year. After that it's pretty much Zeke and Dak.

I think Linny went mike Martz a bit and should have run the ball more, especially on that last 3rd down. Zeke hadn't touch the ball at all on that last drive. He can bust a long one and at worst give GB a lot less time on the clock

Don't get me wrong I wanted a win, but I didn't expect a SB win this year even with the 13-3 record. I think they had a shot but in no way were they favorites. As for Rodgers I gave him props before the game and again after the game.

Brady and the Cheatriots are coming to an end.
Rodgers & Roethlisberger has a few more years left.
Eli is terrible.
Carr and Mariota will take some shine.

But no other team in the NFL has a brighter future than the Cowboys.
helluva lotta good it did your team last night.
13-3, HFA, still one and done.

The future is bright in DAL, but I've seen two franchises have similar "futures"...the Bengals and Falcons...both had young QBs, and some good pieces, won a lot of football games but only 1 playoff win in roughly 10 tries between them. Falcons had to reload after a few rough years, and while the Bengals are still talented...they're picking in the top 10 this year.

Point...you can't bank on the future...win today.

Solid point but the Cowboys don't have chance to win today so all we can do is look forward to the future.

I hope the Steelers have a very bright future this Sunday.

Steelers...I hope so too.

Cowboys...obviously referring to the game yesterday, you don't get that many chances to have homefield thru out and the shortest route to the SB...need to cash in when you do.

In the present...that's true...get some more pcs on DEF, more growth from Dak, and I would expect DAL to be back in the dance next yr.

Absolutely! There were a lot of self inflicted injuries yesterday. Some which can be chalked up to young and inexperienced team and others were just plain head scratchers like much of the Cowboys offensive play calling in the 1st quarter and some of the 2nd.

That was definitely a winnable game. Aaron Rogers played great but he never made it an uniwnnable game. Lots of mismanagement and bonehead penalties lead to the Cowboys demise.
